Good Morning Everyone,

Well the get together is tomorrow and it is certainly looking a lot like Christmas around here. The trees are all glistening with a thick coating of ice, the ground is white, we have a fire crackling in the background, and there is the gentle hum of the generator supplying the only power in the neighborhood.

Power has been out here since about 11:30 last night and there is no telling at this point when it will be back on. We checked with all of the towns around and they are all without power as well.

This goes out to everyone hoping that you are faring well in the ice storm and that there is power where you are. By tomorrow, all of this will hopefully be a distance memory with warmer weather and sunny skies.

Take care and hope to see you tomorrow.

Mike & Donna

Hi Everyone! Posting for Donna and Mike. Like a couple hundred thousand other NH residents, they are without power and not likely to have it back any time soon. So they are cancelling the holiday get together tomorrow. Sure they will post as soon as they can with a rain date. Please pass this a long to anyone who may not have access to this site.

Stay warm!

Dave is right!

The party is really off! Mike said the storm has knocked out the roads with fallen trees and it appears that it could be days before cleared.

See you at the reschedule.

Default Hey everyone Update from Mike and Donna

I am writing on my blackberry so hopeully this comes thru. Needless to say, our neighborhood looks like a bomb went off. Power lines and poles and trees are down everywhere. We are not expected to get power until Friday. Our generator died last night and I called my Mom in Berlin to try to find a new one. She found one and we met her in Concord to get it. We have heat and limited lights. No fridge or stove. There is no power anywhere in Peterborough. I have never seen such devastation. I can't even begin to describe this place. Mike and I were so bummed to cancel our event but we will reschedule once Peterborough gets back on their feet. It may be after the new year but we will reschedule. Thanks Dave and Jeff for getting the word out. We still do not have internet or cable. Work has initiated our disaster recovery plan for all computer systems so Mike will be busy with that tomorrow. Our Laconia plant has power so they will be transferring systems there.well that's it for now. Thanks all for your understanding and for being such great friends. We are truly blessed.Take care and
stay warm. Donna and Mike

Hey team, sorry to have missed you folks but looking forward to a reschedule. We have power again here luckily so only had a day on the generator. If we can help at all let us know, I guess the trouble is just getting in and out of there right now. Take care of each other and stay warm.
Cheers

Hi Everyone,

Well, we have finally gotten power and cable back late last night. We are lucky as there are still many neighborhoods in the area that won't have power until the weekend. It has been a quite an experience. We hope that all of you have your power back and are safe and warm.

A big THANKS to Jeff, Dave, and Nick for all of their help in getting the word out about the cancellation on Saturday since we had no internet access.

We are looking at either Saturday January 10 or Saturday January 17 to reschedule the get together. Please let us know which of those would work best for each of you.

Again, thank you to everyone.

From all of us here, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Mike & Donna
