Cobras & Coffee at Vintage Motorsports
We are in the process of shifting our operating hours and days for the Spring and Summer season. I would like to offer a monthly get together at our facility in Wallingford, CT. The plan is to either have it on Saturday or Sunday morning once a month from 9am - noon.
This will be in conjunction with some other changes at our shop and new services and products. We will be open on Sundays starting in April as well. With the exception of several "event weekends". More details to follow. But for now I need to know if you all feel Saturday or Sunday is better? |
Sounds like fun, Jay! Last summer was a washout for me, but hopefuly, I'll make at least one this summer.

Either day works for us. Any interest in burning some rubber at OnTrackKarting as well? We could get the group rate!

Maybe everyone is still hibernating Jay, I have a thought what would everyones thoughts be on like an open house with burgers and dogs?
Good Friday is coming so maybe if the weather was good that might be a good time. Also maybe get a dyno there or maybe that is over the top.:MECOOL: ALso since the economy is lousy I would suggest we all bring something to the event to help out. I would be up for the Coffee and Doughnuts but it is a bit of a drive for me to be there by 9:00am. Marc |
Burgers and dogs is not good if you're a Catholic especially on good friday.
Maybe Pizza.... |
Okay doesn't have to be Good Friday could be any other recomended day.;)

Saturdays work better for me.

I hadn't seen this thread before today. It would be nice if you could pull it off. I'd be good for Sunday AM, maybe an occasional Saturday...however there are lots of local cruises we could invade on Saturday nights. I've been going to the Indoor Kart Track (saw you there two weeks ago) cruise lately and then up the Berlin Tpk to either Panera Bread or Burger King in Newington. It would be cool to run a dozen or so Cobras up the tpk.
|
I'd love to coordinate runs to cruise nights but some guys who shall remain nameless are afraid of the dark.
|
I'm sure we can twist some arms. One of the guys whos club puts on the Kart Track cruise has a Cobra. He was thrilled that I showed up a few times last year when they were at Dino's. I love driving my car at night.
|
As best I can tell, most Connecticut Cobra owners are afraid of the daytime.
Are you saying there's a cruise at OnTrackKarting? If so, I could showoff the snake and kick a little butt on the track too. Details please. Bob |
Every other Saturday 4:30-8:30 PM.
|
So, is that 3 days from now or 10 days from now? Now being 5-27-09.
Bob |
They just had one this past Saturday...so it's ten days away. Panera Bread in Newington has one this Saturday
