Looking for some New England based owners
I've seen a few Cobras snaking around the Metro West area of New England. Does anyone know of local club or group that gets together for cruises?

I am not aware of any Cobra Club in the CT or Ma area, but let's see how many respond to the inquiry. I am 15 miles NorthEast of Hartford Ct.
A few weeks ago on a Sunday approx 15+ Cobras were at an ERA event in Waterbury CT. When Mustangs Unlimited has there shows in Manchester CT approx 10 Cobras were there
Rare to see any Cobras at the Cruise nights in the Vernon, Manchester, Ellington, Somers Enfield area, all in Conn.

JBlake, Don and Jim,
My name is Henry Renaud and I am president of the North East Cobra Club (NECC). We are a club with about 50 members currently. Our web site is http://people.ne.mediaone.net/h2r3/NECC/home.htm and we get together fairly often. Just saw quite a few members yesterday at NHIS for the New England Replica Challenge. This Saturday, we are getting together in Whitinsville, MA for a cookout and convoy to the local Sat night car show. All are welcome. Take a look at the web site and let me know if you are interested in joining. It's free.

NECC
Sign me up. Henry!
I visited your web site and noticed the club in planning a convoy to RR in Framingham this Saturday. What time is the Club expected at RR's? I'll look to hook up with you there. I'm driving a Black Cherry 427 with CBRA plate.
As a side note, is anyone one from the club planning to attend the event at Herbets in Shrewbury this Sunday?
JB

Gordon,
You're in. I'll send you an email to the Whitinsville event seperately with directions.
JB,
You're also in. As far as the convoy to RRB, we should be there around 6'ish. Not 100% sure we are going there as opposed to Nick's in Natick.
Not sure about Sunday. I know I won't be there. Typically Conrad and Steve show up. Look for the blue FFR's.
You'llboth be able to recognize me. Mine is still in primer with no hood.
Check out the web site again soon and your names will be in the members list. Also watch for pix of tomorrow's cookout and last weeks NERC at NHIS.

Henry,
Thanks the inclusion in the Club. I look forward to meeting you and other NECC members some time soon.
Apparently the convoy headed to Nicks that night. I'm not familiar with this local haunt. Where abouts is it located?
Let me know when the club settles on an October date for the Mt Wachusetts trip. Sounds like a good time.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
JB

JB, Gordon,
We actually went to Riley's RB. We made it about 6:15 p.m. and only three of us made the trip. Ended up parking in the Exxon gas station. Welcome to the club and check the forum often. I will be posting the events as they get closer.

Upcoming NE Event
Regarding NE club activities:
If anyone is interested in a road trip/weekend to North Conway (NH), the Mt Washington Valley Old Car Club (our local car club) is having its 14th annual CRUISE(Sat Sept 11)/CAR SHOW(Sun Sept 12). Rain or shine. We do attract car clubs from points south in MA and east in ME. I realize it is a drive to get here, but it is an event that can be a fun weekend.
The show location is in the large parking lot/field at Settlers Green Outlet Village on the strip in North Conway (that means shopping for the wives and guys). The Outlet Village is planning a hospitality tent with refreshments, store coupons and a car prep area.
I expect to be the only Cobra there, but would love to have company. I know there are other Cobras in the general area of NH/VT/ME, but I have not "made contact" for Cobra specific activities.
Lodging and restaurants aplenty in this neck of the woods. The tourists are fewer this time of year. This weekend is also the annual "Mud Bowl Football" charity event taking place in North Conway Village. A three day spectacle to say in the least for its "athletes" and observers. Some of our car club members participate in the Sat morning "Mud Bowl" parade and exhibit afterwards near the mud arena, far away from the mud.
Early foliage can/may also be seen on runs through the "notches" of the White Mtns this time of year depending on how the trees react to our wet summer.
For information about the show, contact Bob Holmes at 603-356-5296, or Dick Plante (the Mustang guy) at 603-356-3451. My contact email: shaves@ncia.net
(Also, for the outlet shopping info contact Dot Seybold at 1-888-667-9636. I am just putting out this bit of info as "something to do" and do not have affiliations with the outlet stores, but do acknowledge their gracious hosting of the car show each year).
