Default Stripe width question

I am painting a Cobra this week and am wondering what the "right" width of the stripes should be and the width of the space in between. I am thinking of laying down 7 inch wide stripes with 1 inch in between. Your input would be appreciated!

CHeck the ERA site for the correct layout. The stripes need to be tapered from the front and back toward the cockpit. I believe the gap between the stripes is 1".

Found the page- http://www.erareplicas.com/427man/stripes/stripes.pdf

Not meaning to hijack your thread, but has anyone used a stripe kit sold by the Ford Dealers for the Shelby, Roush, Etc. Mustangs?? I was at the dealer the other day and found these. They run around $700 for a kit and I figured you could use the hood ones where they belong and use the roof ones for the Cobra trunk, leaving the short Mustang trunk ones for smaller areas?? Just a thought.......was wondering if anyone else had tried this????

Looks like they "borrowed" that from ERA too.
