Nice. Probably a fair price for that car, but given that I am a newly minted cobra owner, the boss would choke on "another expensive car".....

Gee, I hope Gary gave you a good deal on CSX4250.

Regarding some of the above about how the whole GT350 migration works, I spent yesterday at the Fabulous Fords at Knott's Berry Farm with Gary Patterson and asked him directly. He said you buy the car at any dealer, make your deal there, and have them "drop-ship" it to SAI in Vegas. I heard a few folks tell Gary that their Ford dealer told them that they're all gone and you can't order one. Gary said BS. He has dealers that will do it just about anywhere. He also said he has about 100 cars already coming....

I almost bought CSX4250 and I thought he offered me a very good deal. Ultimately, I had my heart set on aluminum.

So did I, but I had a list in my head of everything I would want, and CSX4250 hit every mark. That's after looking at a couple of dozen. I can live with a 'glass car. In fact, I think there are some good arguments out there for one. Just trying to wake Evan up!!

I don't know if Gary still has his '68 GT500 KR, but when I last saw it, it looked perfect to me.

I always felt bad about not buying CSX4250 from him, since he's a super nice guy, but I knew there would be someone right behind me in line.

Default Thanks

Guys, I just wanted to say thanks for the fairness in which I was always dealt with on this site. You guys all gave me the benefit when I came on board and it helped me get the the cars done and out. I appreciated the openness more then you know.besides team Shelby this is the only place I have posted. Special thanks to Brad, Jamo and Ron.....

I have left Shelby, it was time and I will be staying in Automotive, but probably not anywhere near classic Shelby's.

Thank you again, all the best and enjoy your cars!

Amy

Thanks for the note Amy. I thought you were the perfect person to really make something of Shelby after Carroll was gone. I guess that is not going to happen. I wonder if he understands that?

Anyway, all the best with whatever is next. Please let us know what that is.

All the best,

Jack

Hi Amy,

Great to see you here. Hope that you'll let us know where the future takes you.

I'd heard a rumor that you had a CSX with your name on it. I hope so! They are so much fun.

And now a postscript..

Amy has joined West Coast Customs as President.

Quote:
LOS ANGELES, CA --- 05/20/10 -- West Coast Customs CEO Ryan Friedlinghaus has named Amy Boylan president of the world acclaimed international custom car builder and automotive powerhouse. As of May 17, 2010, Ms. Boylan became responsible for daily operations, marketing, sponsorships and corporate programs for the company based from the West Coast Customs' state-of-the-art facility in Southern California.

"Amy fit right in with my crew because she's a car enthusiast like us," said Friedlinghaus. "And like us, she believes that you need to balance creative, irreverent ideas with smart business practices. We believe that Amy, who has tremendous experience helping companies build their brands, can help propel West Coast Customs to the next level of success."

Best of luck, Amy...and we'll look for you on TV!
