Default Jack21

I won't make this long, but after another back surgery yesterday and as he was recovering at home my good friend John Walsh ( Jack21) passed away this morning at about 9AM Eastern time.
I don't have many details as my call from his wife Ann was cut short, but I will get an address and post more later if anyone wishes to send flowers or a card.
This is sad news for all of us ( and me in particular) as John was a good friend and a valuable member to this forum. I will miss him.

John was always a wealth of information for guys building their car. He was very proud of his Classic Roadsters Cobra and he told everyone about it. He did alot of things his own way to improve the car the way he liked it. He helped alot on the CR forum and I know his knowledge was appreciated. I met John a few years ago and he was just as nice in person. A really great guy that will be missed. My sympathies to his wife and family.

A true loss! As Don noted, Jack was always one of the first to answer someone's question about the CR Cobra and it sure sounded like he had fully sorted out his Cobra!

Jack, thanks again for everything.

Sympathies and condolences to his wife and family.

I just got an email from his wife saying the same thing. I can't believe it! I just got an email from him 3 days ago. He has been such a big help. He went through the whole kit and all the things I needed helping me get ready to purchase. I just emailed him yesterday to say thanks and to tell him that I ordered my kit. His wife then responded with the news. He will really be missed on this board! He responded to everyone's posts with good answers and comments. Our paryers will be with his family in this time of need and comfort.

A number of CACC members will be attending the services for John this Thursday. We are also trying to put together a picture album of photos of John and/or Anne with the Cobra. If you have any from DVSF or other events, and would like them included, please email them to me along with any captions or anecdotes to include with the picture.
Please email them to me at schhfh@cox.net

Also, I spoke with Anne yesterday and she has been able to view your condolences on the forum and is very appreciative.

Default Jack21

To Ann and family,

I was looking through the forum, and have just found out that John passed on, it is a big shock, and I trust he is in the hands of the good Lord. John sent me many emails and I remember buying a Gas Cap from him, it was very reasonably priced, and it came with absolutely everything including a tap and little set scew that I used with his directions to fit the screw into the mounting flange, so it made it harder to steal, I will never forget receiving the benefit of his knowledge and kindness as the way I have perceived his posts and emails they were always nicely tempered, and he enjoyed the technical side of cars, like myself!

Funny how these little things remind one of the important things, and everytime I have and will look at my Gas cap I think of Jack21!

God bless you John!
