Vintage Motorsports to debut BDR GT during Rolex Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Park
Wallingford, Conn. (August 25, 2008) – On the heels of the most successful sales season in the history of Backdraft Racing, Vintage Motorsports will debut the BDR GT to the region at the 26th Annual Rolex Vintage Festival at Lime Rock Park this Labor Day Weekend. The BDR GT recreates one of the most notorious race cars of all time that took on the world and dominated Le Mans during the 1960s.
Built under contract by Auto Futura of Capetown, South Africa to Backdraft Racing specifications, the BDR GT promises to be the most complete GT replica to date featuring the highest degree of fit and finish. Over 600 hours in a world class manufacturing facility ensure this goal is met. Full specifications as well as pricing of the BDR GT are available from the Vintage Motorsports Web site at: www.vintagemotorsports.com.
Vintage Motorsports will display the first BDR GT in the region over the course of the four day event in the Midway of the Park. Alongside the BDR GT, several Backdraft Roadsters will be on display as well as a cross section of Roush Performance Engines. The Rolex Vintage Festival begins Friday, August 29th and concludes on Monday, September 1st, 2008.
The BDR GT joins the Backdraft Roadster in the Backdraft Racing lineup that will soon include several other component vehicles for the race track and street.
Based in Wallingford, Conn., Vintage Motorsports, working closely with Vintage Motor Sales, is proud to be the leading independent final installer for Backdraft Racing Component Vehicles. In addition to completing industry leading replicars for customers worldwide, Vintage Motorsports is an authorized distributor for Roush Performance Parts and Engines.
Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn., will host the 26th Annual Rolex Vintage Festival Labor Day Weekend 2008. The newly repaved track at Lime Rock Park will welcome a sensational group of cars to the traditional fall festival this year. Feature races for the Ferrari Shell Historic Challenge, two international invitational races for Formula Junior, a special race for pre-war historic cars and the usual brilliant array of sports GT and racing cars will fill the track on Friday, Saturday and Monday (29 August – 1 September 2008). While “Sunday in the Park”, the most spectacular motoring extravaganza of the north east coast, will delight those who come to relax, picnic and enjoy the judging and prize giving.
