Default 'New' AC Cars Mk VI

extract from (probably) the press release:

Quote:
AC Cars has unveiled its latest incarnation of the classic Cobra. It's called the MKVI and has a Corvette engine and Porsche brakes.

AC Cars has joined into a “long-term strategic alliance” with German company Gullwing GmbH, which will be building the new cars at its factory in Heyda.

The MKVI will be handmade, with a part-aluminium body placed over a triangulated, jig-welded spaceframe chassis.

One engine will be offered, a Corvette 6.2-litre V8, with 437bhp for the GT and 647bhp for the GTS.
as found here:

http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...ASpx?AR=239497

Of note is the 'GmbH' notation on the name of the German company

check out what Wiki has to say about this

Looks like another set of press releases without much else
(or am I cynical)

frankly it's better than Mk.V
uncle shelby initially would like to install 215 CuIn Aluminum V8 from GM to AC Ace
but GM does not allow to use their engine
so go with Ford V8
so, GM LS V8 is like dejavu !
peace

Lessee.......Luby was gonna build cars in Bridgeport, CT., aluminum cars in Michigan, went bust on Malta, ran in the night from Frimley, UK.

Yeah, this will happen!

People, "AC" does not exist anymore. The entity he owns may own the name and logo but that is the only connection. Sad, but true.

Ah, come on guys, he's trying to help the struggling monster USA General Motors out of a threat of Bankrupcy...give the guy break.....not.

After reading the Wiki entry, I don't think I would want to be the managing director....
