The Camaro in Gulf colors is... pretty weird.
I note that the winning Mustang is so modified you can barely tell what it is (and I'd bet there's very little original tech under that squashed body)... the Cobra, well, looks like a Cobra. Nuf sed.

That Mustang is from the Hayward area and is an original GT350 that has been raced at Auto X's throughout Northern and Central Calif since the very early 70's by the same driver. It is Bad to the bone and has always turned in VERY fast times. It's seen a hard life but what true race car hasn't.

Thanks for the info and the pics.,
That gt350 is how mine would have looked back when if only my friend and body man had completed the flares instead of just cutting out the factory flares and leaving big sharp openings.
I still loved the car
