Texas invades California this week
The "Napa Group II" cars are on their way, while the owners and significant others are parachuting in Wednesday through Saturday. (We come in waves)
With all those commercials we have to watch with the Governator saying "Come to California", you guys better show us a good time!

Steve,
Have some fun but try not to tear your Mustang up that far from home. Good luck! You should probably be leaving for California tomorrow morning. Will Larry be going with his ride?

Clois, this is a CC ride with the SPF. No racing, and no Larry.
13 replica roadsters and one original VW Karmann Ghia. Loaded the cars up on a transport last Saturday. Yancey and I with a few other couples fly to San Fran Friday. Cruise north to the Napa Valley, then all the way down to San Diego. We'll try and not start any riots with our gas guzzlers.

Do we need to start a thread on real versus replica Karmann Ghia's?
During your stay, just remember Frisco is a city in Texas, not in California.

Rodknock: I like the "Frisco" comment, and I'd like to add that PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) is in SoCal south of Santa Monica, up here in the more scenic north it's Highway 1.
For anyone interested in meeting up with our Texas friends please see the thread on the BACC forum or go to Cobras to the Coast
Later,
Mike

And please don't be surprised if you don't see any orange Chargers with the Confederate flag on the roof or any white Cadillac convertibles with bull's horns mounted to hood/bumper.
One last recommendation. When visiting a winery in Napa/Sonoma or anywhere on the CA coast, please don't use spittoon on wine bar for spitting your chewing tabacco or the wine. It's reserved for pouring the excess wine in your glass that you don't want to drink.

OK, it looks like we need some help from you California dreamers. We will be in Santa Monica Wednesday night and need a point man to lead us on an evening tour of LA hot spots.
Maybe the Mulholland drive to Laurel Canyon Road to Sunset Boulevard to Beverly Drive to Coldwater Canyon route. Or something that you might fancy.
We will actually listen to ideas................if you're lucky.
Any takers to lead 14 cars. Of coarse we'll get scattered and lost, but that's half the fun of it.
