Regarding a repeat Murphys trip - I haven't spoken to anyone about it other than what was talked about on the other thread.....

Duane - you're a great organizer, would you like to start a thread on this?

Thanks!

We'll see what we can do for the next meetup in Ione.
Any particular type font you prefer?
Bob

Anything with alphanumerics that includes the letters I-O-N-E-A-M, and a few numbers should probabaly work.

That's a big 10-4 boss, we can do that. Were you and the J man thinking October this year? The only reason I bring up October is the number of Sept in and out of town events already scheduled, etc. If you happen to discuss with J,P and the G-holes, let us know. Would be great if Hoppy could make it too if he is around. IF Oct. this year, we should get the rooms secured and word out soon. Need to check Oct weather 1st/2nd week of Oct for Murphys. Keep me posted boss, will look for the PM about the G-team. D

Maurice, Thanks for orginizing the Dinner drive. What a wonderful evening with "friends" it was good to see folks. Boy that drive home was just perfect, cool night air, stars in the sky and a twisty road looking forward to the next drive in a few weeks

Bob,
I believe our third weekend coincides with the wine tasting at Perry Vineyards in the afternoon.
Maybe breakfast and the wine tasting in the afternoon for some folks.

oh $#%^&, that's right... forgot about Perry Creek coming up next month. We might want to time and locate breakfast so folks can take off from there and head to PC right after. Hopefully Bob sees this message.

I see the message...
Let's do Ione in October, the weather actually might be better. Although who can complain about what we've had this summer... so far!
Any ideas about a location for next month?
Bob

Default failed attempt

Sounds like a good meeting last sat evening,

looks like my attempt to get informed failed.

at least I can now assume you guys always meet on the 3rd sat, this helps bunches since I can at least check the website on the 2nd saturday. I will try and remember that.

It is a little disheartening that I started the thread for the aug event, it got hijacked into a pissing contest, then the event got posted in another thread and i missed it.

o well, guess I gotta be a big boy and not expect special treatment.

i will try to keep myself informed by checking the website more often.
please no apology needed, sometimes things just fall thru the cracks.

Really sorry you missed it Hray, I for one was hoping that you caught the invite from Phil, I guess we mistakenly thought that everyone was glued to this site like some of us are. Third saturday morning is the normal meetup for this group, locations vary, and normally details are put together a few days before. If your looking for another opportunity to get the car out a Sacramento group called EuroSunday meets every forth Sunday at different locations here's a link http://www.eurosunday.net/ not a Cobra only group but they welcome all comers, sign into their site and they will e-mail the up coming events to you.

In fact, next Sunday the Eurogroup are meeting at the MB dealer in Rocklin early and then driving out to the Cielo Winery near Shingle Springs for a show there.

I may just go straight to the winery.

Hi Ray,

I sent you an email along with the others I have in my address book telling you about Teressa`s, I guess you must have missed it due to your runaway thread.

I'll take a guess as to what happened. As we typically do, a specific post was made by someone for our normal 3rd Saturday meeting. In this case I wondered if some would possibly mistake it as an old post thinking it was for August 3rd vs. the 3rd Saturday of August, thus ignoring it e.g. "August 3rd Saturday".

- An email was sent to individuals by the original poster. (not typical)
- The meetup was posted by the same person on ClubCobra. (typical)
- Some read it, some didn't. Those who didn't got left out. (typical)

Recommendation: Look for specific posts that call out specific get-togethers and times on the NorCal Cobras forum. If you are not sure, send one of the folks on the thread a Private Message on ClubCobra and ask them. Or, make friends with folks, email them, or call them on the phone to confirm.

Better luck next time.
