Still called "The Strand " and I have been here since 1968. If you happen to be down south over the first weekend in Aug. you might consider taking in the NASA track day at Autoclub Speedway.......Several Daytona race friends will be running...Don't forget to tell Voss to finish my work before he starts on yours.lol...That is some very nice HP from your small block. Lance is a big supporter of the COCOA-OC. I may see your car, if it has been moved to Voss by next week........

csx4017-Doubt if I'll be there..sounds interesting though. Yeah, I'll tell Voss to finish up all the fill-in jobs so he can concentrate on my Coupe, lol.
Horsepower from my 427 small block is impressive in my book too. Both myself and Tom Lucas, the builder, were a bit surprised at the dyno results, expecting 25 to 30 less. Sometimes the right combination of factors just show up apparently. I don't mind "bench racing' over 600 horses or having them under my foot. Makes me want to make that Tim Allen noise from Home Improvement...Urrhh, Urrhh, Urrhh!
If you do see my car PM and let me know what you think. Still waiting for tires/wheels to arrive as we speak so....

Pliskin.
Your car looks great... how is your build coming along? Any expectations about the completion date? The next meet-up is August 17. Maurice is planning on a surprise dinner. Stay tuned for more information.

Clayboy-Thanks for your post. Build's going...just not fast enough for me, lol. Car is in Irvine awaiting wheels and tires(wheels being black powder coated thus the delay). Engine is ready as you might have read in my New Build post. Look for CSX9126 if you haven't. More Pics in my Profile album. Motor going to Voss Perfomance, Fullerton on 8/17 for install and completion of the car, so, won't be ready for next month's club deal, dinner in Jackson is what I heard.
Certainly don't want anything rushed but...I have been waiting quite a while..car was ordered 6/12!
Didn't I meet you and see your car at Mel's breakfast last month? I came with Brian, my neighbor, in the #83 meatballed FFR car. I used to own SPF 905, all titanium, no stripes prior to this Daytona project...sold the car in March.
Look forward to the Daytona's debut at a get together soon..if I can fit my puffed out chest behind the wheel, lol.

Hey Pliskin,

Sat the 17 th 7 pm would be a good time to meet with a few more locals at Teresa`s in Jackson. You should come and share your enthusiasm.

I know I couldn`t wait back in 04 and went to my first breakfast in my company truck.

Let me know for head count, either here or on the 3rd Sat thread

Maurice

Maurice-

Certainly appreciate the invite and would definitely attend were it not for a family commitment.

By the way, that motor we heard singin' couple weeks ago is on it's way to Fullerton via Tom's truck this Fri. He's got some other little jobs to do/customers to see while in the Southland so delivering the package was a no brainer, and, one step closer to the goal line.

We're at the point where the completion and registration(SB100)is about to commence. Can't wait to be able to bring the Daytona to a get-together as soon as possible.

Put in a good word for me in my absence Saturday. Thanks again.

Snake Pliskin
