Part of the excitement is hearing the snarl from the cars up ahead as they come out af a turn and goose it toward the next one. Wow! Love it!

Thanks, Jim. I'm about the same - they are trying to figure out this nerve thing I have going on. Hope to be back in the cockpit some time in the future. I knew it would be a good time.... that is a great drive, and this weather is perfect!
Thanks again for asking.

Phil,
Hang in there, my friend.
You are right about the weather. Looks like an early spring for sure.

I was glad to see you had come along when we got to Georgetown.
A nice relaxing pace for sure.

Phil-
I hope your hip is healing well?
As has been said, do the therapy!
Best regards,
Pat

Thanks, Pat. The hip is healing fine - it's the nerve compression that is giving me fits. Some testing next week, so we'll see.
Thanks again, Pat and all for the concern.

Hi Phil,
Hang in there, hopefully once some of the inflammation settles down you'll get a better idea of what to expect and AFTER ongoing physical therapy building lower back, leg, stomach, and other muscles back up. After my replacement it seems like it was still 90 days, then 180 before I started to feel more settled. Have lower disk nerve damage too. It got a lot better even after 1yr of strengthening again. 2 years later I was riding again too, not quite my former motocross level, but definitely riding again. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep up the good work.

Phil,
You don't know me but some in the BACC do and I just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery from the nerve thing. I have gone through that a couple of times and it can be a very painful thing at times. Right now I am going through an old back injury that has me going to the doctor and chiropractor every day and it is slowly starting to ease up.
So best of luck to you and don't give up.
Ron

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the encouragement. I had a nerve test done yesterday and the results were what I already knew. I have "sever" nerve damage to my sciatic nerve, which is affecting the nerves below my knee. Long story short - searing pain at times and it "most probably" will get better over time. Not days, or weeks, but months. The interest thing is my hip replacement is doing great and I think I would be walking if it weren't for this other complication. This is really unacceptable because I have people to see and places to go!
Thank you again very much.
