Default NorCal Drive/Meet #3 to Sears Point was great!

Hey Norcal Cobra people,

Yesterdays NorCal Drive #3 was a fun drive and day at Sears Point/Infineon Raceway. Several people commented on how much fun they had meeting and getting together in Davis before hand, and throughout the drives and stops. The trip back to Sacramento on 121/128 past Lake Berryessa through the twisties was just a blast. Some newbies came along for the ride and it just fueled there interest so much they are looking for cars now too.

One thing we try not to get too hung up about in the NorCal crew is what type, make of car, or engine size you have in your Cobra... We had FFRs, ERAs, Uniques, JCF, and even let a few Vipers and Vettes join us - as long as they DRIVE their cars and like to have fun. Some new friendships and business contacts were made yesterday, and everyone seemed rather pleased with how it turned out. Tom Lucas from FE Specialties rode down with me and was very impressed with the comradery among this group. I agree, some of the nicest people I've ever met.

Since Pete Cala / ERA #004, and Allen Lung / SPF #678 were not able to make it this time, we've tagged them to help organize the the next NorCal Drive #4 after the first of the year - January or so?

Thanks Again to everyone, it was really fun. Don't forget about Monterey next year in August, I believe this will be a big one!

We all look forward to NorCal drive #4. (Hey, get going Pete & Allen).

Duane

Duane

I live in Vallejo. And own a SPF. I'd like to join you on one of your rides. I read Club Cobra every day, and I haven't seen any threads on the subject (unless I'm blind).

I'll drive down to Athens once or twice a month. But that is me going solo. I would like to meet other cobraheads up north in my neck of the woods.

Lew,

great to hear from you. There is a group of us up here in the Folsom/Eldorado Hills area and some others out in Laguna/Elk Grove that get together from time to time. This group consists of Cobras, Vipers, and a few misc. cars - a group of close friends really.

There are also a few people that we are starting to hook up with us from the NorCal Factory Five crew as well, and they usually bring 4-5 cars too. We are sort of just getting started with these drives, and I was sort of nominated to pull things together the last few times.

Feel free to email me any time on ClubCobra. Also, I send out group emails once we get these trips going...

Thanks,
Duane

OK Matt -

let me know so I can tell the troops. I'm sort of getting acquainted with the drives and events again. I'll wait to hear from you or Mary. Hopefully she can post something here.

Thanks!

Tag Matt, you're it. Or, Mary, just let us know.

Where does it begin/end, stopovers or destinations?

Default RE: See other thread

Hi Matt, Mary,

I started another thread for this run you are heading up. Please see the new one, or start a new one. We were buried in an unrelated thread, and I know there are others that will look at the new/fresh one now. Thanks!
