Well the weather is looking quite nasty for this weekend so we are moving this cruise to next Saturday 12/21. Let me know if you can still make it. Same time, trip and logistics (with slight modification at the end).
On the toy donations I contacted a local Placerville abused children's safe house today and they could really use our donations. Most of their kids are age 13-17 and they have some 8-10 year olds. What they need the most is: Clothes (all sizes), boxer shorts, socks, stuffed animals (the kids love these for comfort), nail polish, toiletries, shaving cream, razors, little perfumes etc. This is a safe house and these kids really need our help. The house is located in Placerville and they would love to have us drop off the donations at the end of our run. I will modify the end of the route to take us over 49 into Placerville and to the house, which is just at the end of downtown. There is adequate parking at the house and accross the street at McDonalds. If you have already purchased toys for a toys for tots type donation I can take those to the CHP depo. for you if you would like. Trip details: Date: 12/21 Time: 9:30 AM Meeting Spot: Bella Bru in Folsom corner of Blue Ravine and East Bidwell. Route: Depart Bella Bru at 10:00 am Head out Blue Ravine to Green Valley Rd. Green Valley to all the way up to Missouri Flat Missouri flat to Pleasant Valley Right on Pleasant Valley to Hwy 49 Hwy 49 out to Plymouth Lunch in Plymouth at the local diner Shenandoah Road to Mt Aukum Rd. Looks like we are going to cancel this years Santa Hat run due to weather. I will try to plan next years for earlier in December.

The Santa Hat run is a great idea just that we don't want to have to waterproof the hats/people/cars etc. It would be just as much fun in January as the Santa hat/Happy New Years run :D :D :D :D :D :D :D . Tony R. |
