Duane,

I'm going to be up looking out the window at the sky anyway, and I have to have breakfast, so that is certainly an alternative.

I just spoke with the folks at Rods & Rides and said there would be between 15-20 of us - weather permitting.

So...It is my understanding we are meeting at Bookfields - Sunrise/Folsom, rain or shine at 8:30. If it rains, are we breakfasting at Bookfields (normal club meeting) or we driving our normal, dry everyday slugs to Ione?

We may need to change meeting days cause it always rains on the 3rd Thursday/Friday of the month!

Al,
I don't plan on driving my Buick to Ione, if that is what you are asking. Duane suggested if it does rain, or rain is eminent, that we still meet at Brookfield's and catch up on things.

Thanks Phil.
From the current info, looks like rain in the a.m. and thundershowers in the P.M.
Will be at Brookfields, rain or shine.

Hi fellows,

I just returned from out of state and saw this thread.

Put one more on the list Phil, unless there is a down pour.

We'll take spots 19 and 20; or is it 20 and 21? I've lost count. At any rate, Jim and Barbara would like to attend.

I second that -

Yesterday's drive and breakfast were great. Phil picked a nice place for breakfast, and the parking was picture perfect. Nice going Phil, Uwe, and the others for attending. Appears the bar has been raised a little for the formation of a real NORCAL Cobras group to meet up at least monthly - maybe people taking turns coming up with ideas on breakfasts, short drives, etc...

Idea:
I've been wondering for a while about a group drive down to the Delta for breakfast, a stop in at Fosters for your viewing pleasure, and maybe a stop in at Breedlove's place or something?

Don, Phil, Al, others -
Your thoughts?

Sounds like a plan, however, the temperature will have to be conducive - as you well know, it can get hotter than snot in mid-summer down there.

Duane, the Rio Vista run is one that I have thought about for a long time right down to Foster's and Craig's shop. I love going into Foster's with someone that's never been there before, what a surprise there in for LOL.
Maybe this Friday I will take a drive down to Rio Vista and see if I can catch up with Craig to see if he would be interested in some company and what kind of time frames work for him.

Don, Maybe we can just plan it for the future for sure, and do RV possibly when its not hot as Phil noted. Its been in my mind for a while too as one other place to go, and I do recall you and I talking about it too. It would be fun to scope out a few different drives ahead of time, and maybe alternate every other month with breakfast drives to keep it interersting. Doing a Forest Hill breakfast drive could be nice too.

See Ya.
