March Nor-Cal Breakfast (Greater Sacramento Area)
Ok let’s think positive about the weather this month! This months breakfast will be on Saturday the 18th of March, everyone get there by 8:30am to give time for the usual parking lot get together with breakfast at 9:00am.
How about breakfast at the Apple Cafe (on highway 50 just a mile or so east of Placerville on the right side of the highway near the apple hill area. If you get to the Camino Heights exit you have just passed the cafe) with a short drive through the foothills to the Villa Toscano Winery for some wine tasting.
For a rain day backup we can have breakfast at The Ridge in Auburn get there by 8:30am with breakfast at 9:00am
Topic for this month’s breakfast will be to choose a Nor-Cal logo that can be put on a polo shirt, wind breaker or even a t-shirt. I know Al has been thinking about this for some time now and many others as well as myself would like to see this happen so everyone bring an idea and we will get this plan rolling.

I have added these directions to the Apple Cafe to the original post:
Takeon highway 50 just a mile or so east of Placerville on the right side of the highway near the apple hill area. If you get to the Camino Heights exit you have just passed the cafe.

Hey Don,
Good choice. Do you know if they are going to reserve a seating area up there for us? It tends to get fairly crowded inside at Apple Cafe'. Just wondering... Let us know. Thanks for setting this up for us.

Don, Al, Phil, Uwe and others...
As Al and Don have suggested, bring your sketches and ideas for a logo to our next meet. I put a thread out here of some former font/sketches. See the other thread and post NORCAL Logo ideas there if you can or just bring them on scratch paper to the next one... See ya then.

Looks like rain Sat. and Phil brought up a good point about the road conditions around the Placerville. It's not going to be a good day to drive topless so lets keep this going using your all weather car and meet at The Ridge in Auburn saving the wine tasting for a better day. See the first post above for info on The Ridge. I will send and e-mail to the entire group so the word gets out.

Don-I'll see you on Saturday. I agree about the roads and it looks like it may be raining on Saturady a.m. (if DORK Verdorn is right for a change). Hopefully April weather will improve for a run before Knotts. Steve

I've received e-mails from about 10 to 12 who are coming. See you Sat. and remember to bring an idea for a Nor-Cal logo.

Hey guys, it will be great to see what kind of ideas get submitted for the Logo. I'm down here in SoCal (Cardiff/Lajollia) for a family medical matter, but saw your posts. They have a group near LaCanada the reportedly gets 50 Cobras on every Saturday for breakfasts. I wish I could make it there. We'll get there.. Go NorCal Cobras! HA. See ya guys next month.
Hey Al,
make sure you submit your ideas too! You were the one really wanting the Logo (which is good) and pushing us to get it done. Thanks!

OK I'm an idiot. I didn't scroll up and see that you changed the meeting place. Now I know why I was the only one at the Apple Cafe.
Maybe next month.

Hi Don,
After searching high-n-low for that "NorCal" logo I liked, I found it in Duane's CC gallery.... except it isn't NorCal.... my mistake
