Can you believe all this rain, its just unreal! It just keeps coming down and down and down. It sure makes the drive nice on a sunny day though with all the green rolling wilderness out there on the way towards Ione.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Duane,

My race has been changed to this Saturday. Means 15th is now open. If all goes as planned and car checks out Friday evening do you mind if I tag along with you guys for breakfast? Maybe Sunday is still on too?

Amen! This weather really is getting to me. Less than two weeks till the 15th and no end in sight If I don't get this car out on the road and rip up some pavement I'm going to go crackers

I didn't make provisions for tire chains when I put this car together, so it better clear up in time for the WSCB

Hey John,
Sounds like you'll need to get it running earlier on Friday then, with a few short test runs done to check it out, and have it ready for the Saturday drive which is about the same distance and direction we would be going on Sunday anyhow. Should be just fine for re-break-in.

Hey Maurice,

Keep your fingers crossed for me. Between my luck and the weather it will be a minor miracle if we get it on the road for Saturday. But we are going to give it hell!

Phil,

High pressure should start building into the south pushing the low further north. Look for plenty of sun and temps in the 70’s on the 15th and 16th.

Duane,

Thursday and Friday look dicey but I’m bringing the car up Thursday rain or shine! Hope Gary has a wet-vac!

We are at 20 people for reservations right now. If you hear of anyone else, please forward the info. Not everyone in NORCAL posts on ClubCobra, but hearing others may attend.

The current 10-day forecast has now changed to "partly cloudy" for next Saturday, but ya never know, just two days ago it said rain. This weather is all over the place. I spoke with relatives in Maryland saying they've had one of the dryest March/April months in quite some time. Some kinda coastal weather flip going on or something, who knows.

Sounds like we might have a good group of Cobras and people with cabin fever next weekend. Should be fun if we can finally get a break in this crazy weather. Looking forward to it.

I just looked at my schedule....I'm stuck on call, so I won't be able to make it. With a lotta luck, I may have my car on the road for next month.

Default Update: Rain (regular car) or Shine (Cobras)

UPDATE: We have a number of people attending so let's make it RAIN or SHINE no matter what. Its a nice green scenic drive to Ione and its about getting together as much as driving the cars. It will be great to see all of you and catch up.

If it RAINS, drive your regular car and we'll go to Rods and Rides anyhow.
If it does not Rain, Get them Cobras out and lets Go!

Help spread the word. Sound good?

John,

Perhaps you should pursue a career as a long-range weather forecaster - looks like your prediction might be on the mark!!! I sure hope so and keeping my fingers crossed

Phil,
Yes, Latrobe and and Alan has his car apart at the moment. He knows about Saturday. Not sure if he is going or not. It's usually down to the 11:59:59 kinda thing if the car is apart.

Default Headcount if it rains

Hey NORCAL Folks,

How many of you are attending RAIN or SHINE, and going out to Rods and Ride in Ione with your Cobra or regular car if it rains?

Please say "Yes, Rain or Shine" if you are going no matter what. Just trying to get an idea so I know what to tell them about headcount if it rains.

Thanks!
