That's good!

At this rate, with all the rain, I'll take whatever car time I can get even if its just talking about it. This rain just SUCKS! I'm sick of it!

NORCAL Cobras,
Its starting to look like Rain for Saturday's forecast. Seems we need to go to backup plan B at Mels OR ???
http://www.weather.com/outlook/recre...hr_topnav_golf

Question:
Do you guys want to go to Mels in the rain, or does anyone want to drive out to Ione in your regular cars to Rods and Rides anyhow?

If not, I'm going to stop in at Its a Grind to get a Coffee and head over to Mels in the Rain to see who is there. I have reservations at both until I hear back from a few of you so we can decide real quick.

I was planning on sherking some holiday weekend responsibilities, however, due to the forecast I'm going to pass and wait for better weather.

With regret......

Don't give in yet!

My buddy from Napa has been checking accuweather closely which shows it might be like it was today, if that is the case, we may still be in luck. Apparently weather.com is overly conservative, but accuweather is a tad more accurate. Just finished rejetting my carb for the 5th time hoping to take advantage of it tomorrow.

See you at Mels "if its raning" and see you at Its A Grind if its not raining. Like I said before, a few sprinkles on the way back aren't going to bother me cause my car is a driver and show cars are boring.

Duane,

I was up till 11:30 last night working on the car. Now your forcast is 40% to 50% rain by 11:00am. Forcast must have changed overnight. I'm ready to load the car right now but looks bad. Too risky. Napa is just cloudy most all day with possible sun breaking through at noon and rain coming late in the afternoon. I think I'm going to stay home and bomb up to Yountville with my daughter for breakfast. Keep your fingers crossed. I have truck and trailer standing by.

What a friggin bummer!!! I was really looking forward to this Norcal drive. Can't say I didn't try!!!!!

Talk soon, John

Phil, Its 08:00 a.m. and it NOT RAINING. I just checked Accuweather again.
Rain starts at 1:00pm, so we have PLENTY of time to get to Ione and back before then. SEE YOU GUYS at It's a Grind in Folsom, new Bel Air Shopping Center. The keep-it-safe-crew is going to miss out once again.

See Ya there... Duane

Duane,

I had to post this just to insure there was no mistake that I was actually there (although that coil wire slowed me down a bit - Jim, thanks for stopping)! Good to see everyone and meet some new folks. Let's try and do again before the WSCB when the weather is better.

BTW - it's 1:40 PM and it is not raining, so your forecast was incorrect

That car between Maurice and Bob is the new stealth model just released by the DOD.

Guys,
It's eerie! I pulled into my driveway, wiped the windshield, drove into the garage and just then, the sky opened up. The weather gods were with us today.
Had a great time this morning. It was good to see some new faces at breakfast.
I will try to post some of this morning's pictures in the Nor-Cal gallery.
See you all at the Bash.

Hey guys,
What a great outing and turnout. Excellent! To me, probably one of the best drives I've done with a group in a long while. Wasn't that just lush, green, and all the great colors in the skies. The roads and low traffic was just perfect. Maurice and I were having a Ball. Cool clean HORSEPOWER Weather too! I'm sure glad all made it there and back safely. FYI: I found out about Phil when we arrived at Ione, (thought we had everyone) then to learn he dropped off way back at White Rock. Ugh. Hand signals are a must so we don't lose anyone next time. Don't forget, the next 3rd Saturday is the Cobra Bash, and you know where I'll be. See ya there.

Phil,
I know, I've not had one drop at my house yet and its 2:00. I think the clouds kept moving around and away from us. It was great to see you guys show up in Ione. I realized cell phones are in/out of service up that way too after I started heading back.
