Ed,
There was no consensus. I don't like the hyphen myself, but I haven't seen a mock-up sans hyphen. Maybe we should get one made without the hyphen for comparison.

I will have him make one up this week. I will post it when I get it.

Jim Norris 01-22-2007 07:30 AM

Ed,
See if he can do the car with a blue outline rather than black.
Which one of the examples do you think looks closer to the drawing?

Mr Monster 01-22-2007 08:20 AM

Hey, I know I'm kind of new here, but grammatically there's no need for the hyphen.

My .02.

thudmaster 01-22-2007 09:24 AM

I don't like the hyphen either. I will see about the blue instead of black.

Igofastr 01-22-2007 11:38 AM

Looks great!! Sign me up.

azariah2000 01-24-2007 08:13 AM

Looks GREAT! Count me in!
I prefer the NorCal without the hyphen and the car without the black outline.

I believe the bottom picture that Jim posted is the last one I sent him? I haven't heard anything about this in several weeks now. What type of shirts
are you looking to have made?

Monster 01-25-2007 01:25 PM

Just to chime in:

I just did a quick search around and found the following variations:

Norcal ("C" not capitalized)

NorCal ("C" capitalized and no space)

Nor Cal ("C" capitalized and a space in the middle)

Nor-Cal (hyphen with "C" capitalized)

Nor*Cal ("C" capitalized and a "star type character used as a separator)

Personally, I think I like the second option with no space and a capitol but then I'm "just another president in BACC"

mike

BACC moto: No fees, no membership, no rules. Everyone's a President, have Fun

tmareina 01-25-2007 01:44 PM

I like the Blue without the black outline and the NorCal. Count me in for a shirt or two. Maybe a T shirt and a long sleeve shirt like the WSCB 2006 shirt.

thudmaster 01-25-2007 02:53 PM

Hey Tom..........Hows retirement?:)

tfalk 01-25-2007 03:16 PM

BTW, I'm coming a little late to this party, but I'm curious about something.... The image
at the center of these designs originated from Carl Greatix. Cobra Promotions/Replica
Promotions owns the use rights to that image. Can someone please show me
a document giving Nor Cal permission to use that copyrighted image as part
of their logo?

I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade here, but I'd also like to make sure
that I retain the rights to the property I purchased with the company. The middle
picture above makes me think someone else has digitized the image for their use...

thudmaster 01-25-2007 04:25 PM

Some tees some polos and a few long sleeves. Sizes to be determinded when we get the logo sorted.

thudmaster 01-25-2007 05:01 PM

Hmmm you don't sell tees. So I guess just polos and long sleeves. Quanity unknown at this time.

I have to agree with Monster on this. I always write out NorCal with capitol C and no space or hyphen. I think it looks best that way.

You can put me down for a Polo and long-sleeve T in the X-Large variety. :D

T-shirts are not a problem depending on the price. I sent you a PM and I've also
traded email/PM with Jim. I'm OK with Nor Cal using the image in the logo as
long as I retain the reproduction rights. I'll be happy to discuss any items you
would like As I've told Jim, I can make some changes to the logo like the font
and colors. I can't do things like changing the bumpers to quick-jacks - I'm just
not that good with the embroidery software yet. Thanks everyone!

thudmaster 01-25-2007 07:06 PM

I can't change those jacks to bumpers either thats why I had my son do it.:)
