Day trip to WSCB
Hello all,
I am planning on making a day trip to WSCB on Saturday the 19th. I will visit the vendors and view the cars. Still alot of planning and savings before I can buy/build my own. I am currently torn between the roadster and the coupe. They each have their own plusses and minuses, so time to do some in person research and try to make a decision and then to get things setup for a build. I am hoping to see some of you there. I will have my son with me and he just loves the cars.
Sean

We may go up on Saturday morning. I am not sure what time the run starts or where they are going. You may want to drop a line to WSCB and see who or what fenders will be there while the run is in progress.....or just play chase car and follow the run. Last year we had over 100 cars parked at Squaw Valley for lunch.

Thanks Al, I'll keep that in mind. I was planning on being there around 7:30 am or so and stay until early afternoon more or less. Depends on how things go. I have missed it on past years due to conflicting schedules, and Saturday is the only day I can make it. As far as playing chase car, my Taurus could never keep up even with a stock powered Mustang donor car.

"Main Vendors at WSCB 2007 - FREE to Spectators
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SPECIALTY VENDORS at WSCB in 2007
Folks, once again here we have Cobra/Daytona/GT40 industry leaders and specialists joining us at the Western States Cobra Bash. Many are returning vendors and we have some new ones.
For FFR Owners / FYI:
-Several smaller FFR Shop Owner/Builders (attendees)
-A small group of Challenge Series Spec racers will be doing a small demonstration at Track Day.
Main Vendors:
ERA Automobiles / Customers
Kirkham Motorsports
GT Auto
River City Shelby Club / Track Instruction
Ken's Custom Auto Body
Superformance/Dynamic Motorsports
Hill Bank Motor Corporation
Carroll Shelby Enterprises
Speed Freaks Industries
FE Specialties
See WSCB Website for more details about who these vendors are and what they do, and links to their websites at www.WesternStatesCobraBash.com
NOTE:
Tell your friends to come out and visit these industry specialty vendors, it's FREE to spectators to walk up to the Corral, come visit, and check it out. Many people flew in last year from all over the US and outside of the US to use this opportunity to help them decide on their next car, product, or services for their existing or future car to purchase. It's really something to see and hear real customer cars that get driven, all ligned up side-by-side, or out at the track on Friday or just in the paddock. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to see these vendors and their specialized services ALL in ONE LOCATION.
Date/Location:
May 17th-20th, 2007 - Thursday at Noon through Sunday at Noon at the John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks, Nevada - 5 minutes from Reno. The vendors will be in the secured 5th level parking structure "WSCB Corral" for most of the weekend and all of us will be down at street level in Victorian Square in Sparks during the public car display Saturday the 19th. See you there!
Note: You will NOT SEE A BETTER VARIETY, QUALITY, and VARIATION of Cobra replicas and nice origingals together anywhere else in the world. It's very true, many of our attendees can back up this statement; especially those who've had the fortune to travel and compare around the world. Also worth noting - These are not all the vendors; we just filled up. Some are just attending with their cars as attendees. There will be plenty of cars to see from ALL manufacturers, product, or service providers. Reserve that plane ticket now before it's too late.

FYI, We had a few of the spec racers cancel Track Day unfortunately but need to see who all shows up. I know there will be Karen, me and maybe one other so I don't know if we have enough to make for an interesting 5 lap sprint. This was a small detail on my wish-list but in any event, Track Day is going to be great fun for both participants and guests!
See you all there!

OK, we're getting ready for tomorrow. Charging up the video cam and putting new batteries in the digital. Looking forward to seeing some of the Nor Cal Cobras and other cool cars there. After much deliberation it looks like I will be concentrating my future build to be a coupe. It just fits me better and has more creature comforts available, at least for a 60's era race car that is.

LIVE FROM THE NUGGET, RENO, NV.
We are leaving the Nugget Saturday at 9:00 AM for Squaw Valley.
Track day was great!! Only downside was my spinout!! :-(
Rumor has it that Duane "may" have suffered the same fate - Rumor Only at this point.
Hope those of you making the day trip can find us. Off to a get-to-gether tonight.
Best year yet.

Where are you going to be stopping in Squaw Valley? My wife and I are staying in Squaw Valley tonight and we're heading to Reno tomorrow morning to meet up with John at Dynamic to inspect SPF #2613.

Well, looks like it'll be ANOTHER year before we make it up. The wife just nixed the trip and maybe the next few months breakfasts too. Might be time to reconsider everything............................

LIVE FROM SPARKS........................................
Meet at Squaw in the big lot at noon for a photo shoot. Back to the Nugget by 3 pm for the scheduled car show in Victoria Square.... across from the Nugget.
CONFIRMED: Duane did in fact join my "spin-out" club or was it his club. The good news is that we are not the worse for wear. 'Bout time to replace those T/As with some sticky tires.

Doug:
Look me up. Red SPF. Race number 58. Ask John, he knows the car.
Terry.
PS: My car has the gravel in the cockpit and scuffed tires on the right side!
