Nor Cal Al & Hoof Hearted,
I too am headed up on Saturday in my personal car (Taurus) with the kid. We are leaving Sac early. Probably around 5:30 or 6:00 am in order to get there before everybody heads out and to see the cars and vendors. We are planning on returning around 3:00 or 3:30 pm so we can pick the wife up from work on time.
You can call me at 916-912-5184

Good Day Sean
I seriously doubt we can get going before 6:30 or 7:00. We were going to go up Hwy 20 but could divert to 80 or meet at the summit (normal stop anyway). It is about 100 miles, about 2 hour from us.
I expect your kid will bedriving while you sleep. But if you are driving, watch our for CHP in Truckee, especially from the old inspection station to the truck scales.

Al, Sean,
Looks like we will be leaving from Sac a bit later in the morning about 9 am. Probably just see everyone after the cruise at the afternoon/evening festivities.

Everyone enjoy themselves and above, all drive safely. You don't get many second chances in one of these cars. I won't be there this year but will be thinking about all the fun you'll be having.

Uwe,
Plan "B" didn't work out, so the picture you took is a picture of my last resort ..., plan "C -1".

Al,
If my kid is driving the CHP will definitely be stopping me. He is only 2 1/2. I am used to driving at all hours. I just set the cruise control and drive the limit. I can't afford the ticket right now.
