Considering I just came back from Los Angeles in my Cobra and I just participated in the BACC Tour di Vine (you people missed a great event), I'm going to allow my butt tissue to heal till my next long excursion in the beast-John

Looks like Alan and I will meet the group for coffee and/or tea for Alan at It's A Grind. I have some other obligations later in the day, so maybe we will follow you up to Placerville and wave goodby.

Gee Uwe, rub it in. How come you never invited any of us on NorCal Cobras during those four trips?

You guys are going to miss out, the temp will be nice in Tahoe this Saturday. Hehehehe.

Uwe, Marc,
We'll be back by 2pm or so. You'll have plenty of time to do things "after 2pm or Later in the Day". I think some multi-tasking is in order here. Can't blame a guy for trying to get you guys to put the chores and shopping till later in the day; and you still have Sunday.

Hahahaha. Rub Rub.

I'd join more of the events but I am still trying to complete my car. Hope to have it painted and on the road by late summer.

Have fun Saturday while I am block sanding all day...........

But count me in for the fall cruises!

Should have come on the Tour D'Vin. 33 Cobras and a Ford GT. Perfect weather. Great day. And some new friends. Very few from Sac, some from Livermore.

Duane,

ok, up to Placerville I go, but that's it. And for the other four times I drove up there, I wanted to hang with my girlfriend, not with you

See you on Saturday

Uwe

Question Which Grind?

There are 2 "It's a Grind"'s in Folsom. Which one? Or I'll just check both.

I wish I could go, but it's my 40th class reunion that day and too much going on. I would be cutting it too close.
I'll do it another time.
I did do a Kirkwood trip and back 2 years ago. That would be fun to do sometime soon. Have lunch at the Kirkwood Restaurant, a very old log cabin turned restaurant. About 200 miles round trip. Let's do it.
Have fun. I'll be thiking about you guys.

Gary

Hey Gary, that's a great idea and maybe we can do that next time. I know the place driving it by it on a trip to Snakes to the Lake a few years back.

AND, if we can get some of these guys to step up and do more than a drive down to the local breakfast joint only five miles away, it would be even better.

Default Temp by the hour, on Saturday

Cooling down a bit for Saturday...
  • 78 degrees departing Folsom 9:30a.m.
  • 79 degrees arriving in Tahoe trough lunch
  • 91 degrees returing back to Folsom at 2pm

John,
I have a sneaky feeling a few people are not laying their cards out yet, and when they see the nice sun out and do an air check Saturday morning, we'll see a few come strolling in for Coffee on Saturday, and they they won't have the nerve to let us drive away with out them. Hehehehe

Default I can already smell the coffee!

You’re probably right Duane. Temps are perfect. I am really looking forward to it!

I'd llike to go on that trip, but I have a 40th class reunion to go to and would be cutting it very short. We also might want to try a ride to Kirkwood for a180 mile round trip some time soon. They have a restaurant at Kirkwood which is an old log cabin. Good food.
Have fun this Saturday.

Ed,

The Grind is in the Belair shopping center on East Bidwell about a mile or so north from highway 50 , on the east side of the road.
