Sure, there is nothing exclusive about any of it as long as your drive your Cobra!; so far, we have no other takers. Seems most of the people like the 10 minute drive to breakfast and back which is not as much fun for us who really like meeting and driving the cars a bit more. It's a real easy trip there and back to South Shore; it's over before you know it.

C'mon you guys, where are you when the driving plans come along these days?

We might just have to split NorCal Cobras into two groups then... the few that drive and the others who wax and drive 5 miles only. The guys with the originals drive theirs more than some of you guys out here with replicas. Where are ya now when the nice drive plan comes along.

We figure we can wax & detail in the morning with coffee. Then, we have (2) waxing-stops planned on the way up and a full wax session at the restaurant before lunch courtesy of Barry Meguiar.

Be there or be square!

Trailer parking?

Is there room to park my truck and trailer? I could bring it just in case!;)

jdog
P.S. This will be the longest distance my Cobra has ever gone away from it's trailer, I'm sure how she'll react!%/

jmarsey 06-10-2007 11:08 AM

jdog,

All kidding aside, I have been in your shoes and know what that anxiety feels like. There comes a time when you have to throw the knives up in the air and let them fall where they may. You just have to trust the car. If this trip to Tahoe is the big test for your car, we'll be there for support should anything go wrong. My trailer and rig will be at Duane's should we need it.

Did you get your knock-off issue fixed? You had one that kept coming loose.

Hope to see you there,

John

Kidding, who's kidding?

Between thw wheels falling off and the trans getting stuck between gears, my trailer has looked pretty good a bunch of times! Too many times!

It's kinda become a security blanket for my Cobra, she really likes the view from the trailer! I think the Super Duty blocks a lot of the dust from her eyes!

jdog:)
P.S. I think I have the wheel problem fixed, I'd hate to find out the hard way up there on some of those curves on Hwy 50!

decooney 06-10-2007 12:22 PM

Jdog, just bring the car/trailer, leave it over in the shopping center OR just drive the car; I have a trailer at my house and John will have his too. If there are problems, you can just ride back with one of us, and go back and snatch it. The only way to get past the bug period is to drive it and sort it out, one bug at a time until things stabilize. Everyone goes through this to some degree (some more than others). The point is to just push through it, one incident at a time, until things settle down for you. We'll be there. It's best to drive in groups like this in the beginning anyhow. It will be fun. Don't miss out. :)

jdog 06-10-2007 12:41 PM

Thanks for the invitation........

It would be best to go with a group for awhile.

I'll be there in the Cobra if I can.

jdog:)
P.S. Time to get out from under the porch!:o

Hey, come on! I can't believe reading all that!

It's a car. Four wheels and an engine.
Just like having sex. You gotta try and come out from your security blanket.
Nobody was holding your hand there, or what?

I would love to go but have a previous commitment.

Have fun, Ray

Duane,

I sympathize with you and feel the same frustration in trying to get folks out for a little fun, I don't get it  . Between us we have mailing lists of 300+ cars in the "greater NorCal (SF & Sac) areas" but out side of breakfast, the BASH (great job again,by the way) and a few other events, it seems like everyone is trying to keep the mileage down on their cars.

WELL, I have it on good authority that driving your car is a good thing and leaving it in your garage is not such a good thing.

I wish I lived closer to Sac. I'd be all over this drive. You guys have great roads up there and driving your Cobra is a lot more fun than waxing it or doing honey do's (which can both be done another day:rolleyes: )

good luck with your lunch run,
Mike

I'll meet you all at the Edgewood....seeing as I'm 3/4ths of the way there already. If I leave my house at 0900 I'll get there about the same time as the group.

Tom

Tom,

As it looks so far, "Group" being at least 3 cobras. Which means, if you show up, we'll have a group!.....;)

Mike, Tom,

Thanks for your comments and feedback.

I hear ya Mike!, I've been to so many meets where people say "we need to do a drive" then when it comes to it, they have weeds to pull or something on that level.

REPLICAS ARE MADE TO DRIVE and SO ARE ORIGINALS - JUST ASK RAY, HE'LL SHOW HIS KNEE-BROKEN DASH SWITCHES AND ALL - I GIVE UP! It's okay, we'll have fun and tell everyone about it afterwards. Then we'll get the following "Wished I coulda, shoulda, woulda" replies right after. Oh well, there are drivers and there are passengers in life. :D

jdog 06-11-2007 04:52 PM

Count me in!

As of today, I don't have to work this Sat.!:)

Count me in, I will be there, weeds be damned.

jdog
P.S. And I mean, without the trailer!

jmarsey 06-11-2007 05:09 PM

We got your back jdog!;)

Igofastr 06-11-2007 05:57 PM

I really wish I could make it, but duty calls...well, not exactly duty. I just gotta work.

tmareina 06-11-2007 06:22 PM

Duane and John,

Always glad to help out!

Tom
