7/21 3rd Sat breakfast/ride
Ok, We actually "PLANNED" a trip a week in advance at the last meeting . Plans as follows....
Meet together Saturday 7/21 at Cassadys Restaurant located @ 9625 E. Stockton blvd. at 8:30 am. Seating will be held for our group, so chime in so we can get a head count. Then from there we will ride down Hwy 160 down the river road to Antioch CA. It is supposed to be a twisty scenic road with a cool breeze from the river. Thanks-John

The levy road is a great drive but beware of people passing on that road as it is one of the most dangerous roads in the state for head on collisions and watch your speed in Isleton, major speed trap. Food for thought is the fact that the Del Rio Hotel in Isleton has the best prime rib dinner in the state. I commuted that road from Sac to Antioch for 8 years. With that said it's still a great drive and I'm sure you will agree when your there.

I didn't know there was a speedway in Antioch before you brought it to my attention. I checked the scheduel and the good news is there IS racing on this Saturday. The bad news is it doesn't start till 6pm. This may be a little too long of a day for some people. A ride to a track for racing action is a great idea though.
Debbie and I rode to Infinteon Raceway for the Wine Classic and they raced in the late morning till early evening and had a great time. Thanks for the heads-up Don on head-on's. Driving with lights on would probably be a good idea. Sorry to hear you can't make it. I'm really looking forward to seeing your car when you are done. -John

I would like to go but I won't know for sure until Friday.

P.S. I will have an empty seat in my Cobra for the drive if anyone wants to ride along, I'll take you back to your car or home after. Or I could pick you up before breakfast.

Hello everyone,
Dave Turnbull here. My wife, Marsha & I attended the breakfast this morning and we want to extend a huge thank you for the warm welcome!
I wish I was good with names (I do remember some & Justin, of course, for the invite), but I will remember them in time. God, I hate getting old..
Anyway, we loved being there and meeting everyone. In fact, my wife was sooo thrilled after getting a ride (I think I wet myself - lol), that she's willingly consented to buying a kit or a car right now. I can still hardly believe it, but she's very firm about the idea and I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.
Well, time to go shopping. See you all soon!
Cheers,
David -

David,
That is great news. Glad J-dog and I could help.
I have had nothing but fun since the day I purchased my car last October. You missed a great drive, but there will always be a next time.

David good to meet you. That was great to see you and your wife get a ride. Let us know what you end up getting!
So did anyone else get sunburned on the cruise?
Jerome and Steve, thanks for letting me ride shotgun! It is always such great motivation for me. My car will be done soon I hope.
Someone post pics if you got em.
