WCCB 2008-What are the dates?
I'm choosing my vacation times for 2008 soon and I need to know the exact dates of the WCCB in 08. Last year it was 17-20 in May. In 08 that would be Sat,Sun,Mon,Tue. They are usually on Thur-Sunday, right? Thanks -John

It must be that time of the year...I asked Duane the same question on Friday via email. I asked again at the breakfast at Mel's and it's the third weekend in May and John you are right...Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 15, 16, 17,and 18.
Great weather and a great turnout on Saturday.

John - Thanks for asking the question.
Bob (and Duane) - Thanks for the answer.
I'm not planning any time-off being retired, but I am planning on going back to Alabama next year for Unique's Homecoming. And yes, the dates work so I can attend both.
Thanks again!

UNOFFICALLY,
If you are talking about WSCB and not WSCC, i.e "S" for States rather than "C" for Coast, - It is tentatively on schedule for May 15,16,17,18 in 2008.
A few more contractual details are being worked out this week, so it is NOT official yet, but if it happens, these will be the dates we'll get.
The delay is getting agreements to a few changes that people provided feedback on last year, and moving the main gathering party to Saturday evening and probably making Friday night a simple free-for-all-haning-out-by-the-cars-secretly-BYOA-party in the upper garage instead. Also, I just received confirmation today from the Sr. Track Crew Instructors they will be providing instruction again in 2008, but this too is pending how the final detail and agreement works out with the track. So far so good. If registration gets ironed out as I've been planning, former WSCB attendees from previous years will get advanced notification and first-dibbs on registration for about 14 days; after that, open registration will begin. The limit will be 200 cars again, and we all know what that means. Let the source start here on CC, where it all began the first year.
This is the latest; going back in hiding and work-mode for a while now. Pass it along to fellow WSCB'ers. Thanks. DC
