I wont have a cobra to drive there but maybe another car of interest. I wanna bring wife and friend and his wife so we can get ideas as we plan on building one this winter. Any problems with the ladies coming along.

After Ray's post I was just sitting back waiting for Pat's response - pretty tame, I must say

Pat,
Not yet.... I posted on the NorCal/CVCC topic asking if there are any other NorCal guys doing a one-nighter (Friday), going over the pass on Saturday and heading back on 50 in the afternoon. If there aren't, it would be a lonesome drive down and back.

Yeah! A recommendation and a decision. That was easy.
Now if I can figure out why my differential made a weird grinding/humming sound for about 5 seconds last weekend after hitting it, slowing down, and coming around a slow turn, I'll be there. May be time to change the diff fluid/additive.

Be careful Duane!
Better take it easy around Folsom Duane.
I got stopped yesterday by one of Folsom's finest for 'chirping' my tires at a stoplight. It was 6:30am and Folsom Blvd was cold & damp. Tires chirped when I hit the white line at takeoff.
When I showed him my id he let me off with a warning, you might not be so lucky!
See you at breakfast, "I hear there's wimmin commin"

Jerome, are you sure it was just a "chirp" and not two 100 ft. long, half inch thick, smoking black stripes all the way to the next stoplight? Now, that would merit a warning.
See you guys on the 20th.

Yeah, no chirping by me that's for sure; and especially not in a town that has more Police in a condensed area than most other areas in the US excluding New York City. If i'm going to get myself in trouble, it's going to have to be more than a chirp. Managed to get me a $427 ticket in Oregon over the Summer though; and then went through a full blown study and hassle to get it reversed. So, I'm not too anxious to get myself in trouble around here; and the Police know me, that's for sure. So, I keep it cool. Thanks, Duane

100'?
Who has a tape measure at that time of the morning? I should have been more careful in front of the donut shop anyway!
Damn Duane, that sucks. I feel your pain. I got my first ticket in 20 years, a few months ago. And I was driving a Dept of Corrections van with bars on the windows and an exempt plate!
Young female CHP officer looked to be about 23 or 24 years old. She would hear none of it! Stood her ground just like they taught her at the academy!
83 in a 65! Right where hwy99 goes from 70 to 65 outside Modesto. Got me with her fancy new 'lidar' radar gun, & could have cared less if I'd had Charles Manson in the back seat!
Traffic school sucks!
