I'm up here at Thunderhill running the FFR spec car this weekend along with the FFR Challenge series group. NASA is running the track backwards, which is very unusual, and it is a real hoot. You couldn’t ask for better weather or a nicer group of folks. If anyone wants to come up and check us out, you are more than welcome. Look for a white FFR with red flames #13 along with the 8 or 9 other specs here. There are several other classes of cars running too. It’s a typical race weekend format but really cool when the spec group is here.

Hey John,
I wish I could come up to check it out. I appears I won't be able to. As it turns out, I have more sorting out to do tommorrow on the project car. Today was the maiden voyage on some backroads and up the hill on Highway 50. Got 75 miles on her so far, and already making suspension adjustment changes, motor /timing adjustments, need to rejet, etc; needs more fuel . The car is just amazingling different and wicked to drive. The exhaust is so raspy cool sounding. Can't wait to get a few more things sorted out. Check ya later... Today was a great day to be driving here as well.

Duane,

If folks only knew "the rest of the story!" You know I am truly glad it all worked out the way it did.

I'm taking you to the next NASA event at Thunderhill and that's that!

Talk soon, John

Dennis: thanks for cruising by in your new car. looks awesome, serves as a good motivator for me to get one done. Now that you are retired I will be expecting you to come over and assist me, or at least cheer me on.

Hey breakfast attendees if after Mel's next Sat AM you want to come visit the sheldon junk yard (my back yard, near Calvine and Excelsior) feel free to come stop by for a short visit and tour.
Ray
