I'm a flake.. Galt car show too!
As it says, I'm a flake or at least I feel like one. Marsha & I are so disappointed that we haven't been able to make any of the breakfasts, but crap just keeps coming up. Hopefully we'll make it in November. We certainly have been enjoying the new ride though:
There's going to be a car show here in Galt on November 17th if anyone wants to participate. It's a local "informal" kind of show, downtown in old Galt. We had another show here a few months back in the same spot and I guess the turn out was pretty good, though we could not make it. I'll post more details as I get them.
Lastly, Marsha & I are off to the SEMA show next week. Carroll Shelby will be there all week so I'm taking something for him to sign. We'll be traveling light, but if anyone has something small they would like autographed hook up with me by the weekend and I'll "getter done."
We hope to see y'all next month,
David -

Cool pics dude. You missed out on the breakfast. There were about 18 cars and a little cruise after. See ya next time. Have fun at SEMA.

Great pictures!
Is that Lake Commanche in the background?
Hopefully, the weather will be decent enough in November for another get together. We can see the new ride in person then.
What are you going to ask Carroll to sign? Visor? Glovebox door?

Jim,yes, it's Commanche - what's left of it anyway.. It's a nice little drive from here. I'm just taking one of the Shelby posters for the autograph. It's time to change the decor in my office
Justin, I know, I know. Looks like we missed some really nice cars

It's all good. Is Carroll still charging like $100 to sign something?

I think he just went up to $150 for books, posters etc. and $250 for car stuff
like glove boxes and visors. Do a quick search under Carroll Shelby and you''ll find his "donation" page.

Don't kill the messenger!
Hey David, don't kill the messenger!
It's good to see you and Marsha with that Cobra. Looks like it was meant to be!
The money from the autographs goes to a good cause, sick children.

P.S. I will try to make it to the next breakfast if I can, you too, OK?
Looks like Jim's all over it!

Jdog, as long as it ain't raining, snowing, etc.. and Marsha doesn't have to work, we will be there. Marsha's loving this car as much as me and says she feels "like a princess" every time we're out in it. It will look a little different next time you see it too

I was disappointed by the cancellation, but not surprised. This town has been struggling with issues from A-Z since we've lived here (13 years) and just can't get it's act together. Too much politics. Too many egos. Too much mis-communication, etc.. Oh well, there's always next year.
