Dave,
Jdog and I were talking about your new license plate at the meeting on Saturday.
I hope that you and Marsha had a great time. I looked around for you, but didn't see see you to say hello.

I wish we'd get our plates - maybe we'll have them next time. Sorry we didn't see you - there was just such a large turn-out and not enough time. We should have gone on the drive afterwards, but it cut into my nap time (getting too old - haha). Marsha & I had a great time, but now I want a Kirkham and a GT40 and....! We couldn't have asked for better weather.
Hey Jim - thanks for the picture!

9:30am?
What do you think, did the later time have any impact on the numbers?
I noticed that even the San Jose boy's thought about it. I think later allows for people from further away to consider it.
Now in the Summer, the earlier the better!

Thank you Sir!
On the time question, I'm quite sure it had something to do with the large turn out. Maybe we should shoot for a 10am start time. Hmmm....

When we start doing the time thing remember that some of us travel over an hour to get there.

Here we go again!
I might get a chance to make those plates for you anyway.
Folsom Prison remains in lockdown
By Bill Lindelof - blindelof@sacbee.com
Last Updated 10:33 am PST Tuesday, February 19, 2008
"Folsom Prison continued to be locked down Tuesday following a fight that erupted Monday at breakfast in one of the dining halls.
A meeting was scheduled for later today to determine which inmates might be able to return to normal activity.
"We need to go through all the reports to find out what went awry," said Lt. Denise Laguna, a Folsom Prison spokeswoman.
All 4,000 inmates were confined to their cells in the aftermath of the riot in the No. 2 dining room about 6:55 a.m. Monday. About 200 inmates were in the hall at the time. The fight involved predominately African American and Latino inmates.
The entire prison went on lockdown status, which required feeding prisoners sack lunches instead of letting them go to the dining halls.
It was unclear what caused the melee, Laguna said.
"We are still getting information in at this time," she said. "It was not a race riot. These things can happen over somebody giving somebody a wrong look. A lot of the inmates were in amazement. They wondered what was going on and what they were supposed to do."
Three inmates were taken to the hospital. A prison-made knife was recovered.
The fight was quelled using chemical agents and "less-than lethal" force. No staff members were injured."
Every time I think I'm out, they drag me back it!

Looks like a great turnout. I might be interested in coming to your next breakfast in March, now that my car is running again. Coming from San Francisco, starting later is better for us who have to travel +1 hour. So would the next breakfast be on March 15th? .... would be a good shake down before the Bash!

Hey Ron,
I like to make these meets when I can but a bit of a drive from Napa as well. Would do more if I lived closer to these guys. Keep me posted if you decide to go next time, or future, and maybe we can meet up on 80 or something the morning of.
Glad to hear your car is back together and running well.

Let's see, drive the Cobra up 80 to Sac with a bunch of other cobras, breakfast, play golf (assuming it's not the CLUB that goes on the steering wheel!), drive back to SF. What a great day .... Keep me posted for the March breakfast.

Happy to meet up in the Vacaville/Winters area for the drive East.
Last weekend, we headed over to Elk Grove via the scenic route. County Road 31-East to Hwy 113-South, Hwy 80-East, then in West Sacramento to the River Road through Hood and Franklin to Elk Grove Blvd. Made for a much better drive than Hwy 80 all the way to Hwy 99.
Always more fun to drive with other Cobras.
