Great pics and many thanks for sharing!

Wow! What an event. I was thinking 'bout ya'll whilst I was on my near-death bed with the flu. I'm just now coming out of it. Oh, well...there's always next time.

Clayboy 02-21-2008 03:45 PM

Wow... Major historical event for NorCal ! If it keeps up like this, where we meet is going to be a logistical problem. Way more planning than ever before.
Kurt, Glad to hear you are feeling better...I knew it had to be something major for you to miss last weekend. See you next time.
Phil, You could have ordered oatmeal, no one would have given you a hard time...I had eggs !
Bob

They had Oatmeal?!? I didn't know! I should have ordered that! -John:LOL:

This also sets the record for the longest NorCal breakfast thread. 11 pages and still counting. Must be the rain. :JEKYLHYDE

thudmaster 02-22-2008 11:31 PM

What about the March Breakfast? Date? Location? Since it's going to rain today, need to start planning, waxing the cobra, and motivation. Remember, us San Franciscisco guys have to drive 100 miles .. almost a tank of gas in each direction for oatmeal!

jdog 02-23-2008 10:20 AM

Oatmeal?..............Oatmeal?................

You mean next time it's oatmeal?..................

Well, OK. Does it come with cinnamon & raisins?

jdog
P.S. I eat oatmeal every day for breakfast (my Dr.'s idea) So I use the monthly cobra breakfast as an excuse to eat something else. I guess this month I will welcome you guys to my world.;)

jperickson2001 02-23-2008 02:27 PM

SF_SN888K, you don't need to wait a whole month. The Euro-Sunday event is tomorrow in Granite Bay on Douglas Blvd. rain or shine-John

SF_SN888KE 02-24-2008 07:19 AM

I can always do the BACC breakfast in Livermore or Mt. View, but they start too early. My neighbors don't understand the sweet purring wake up call of a 427w at 6:30AM. Might go to Santana Row in SJ in a couple of weeks. (Herman, where are you?)

Good luck in the Rain in Granite Bay! Sounds wet, but would rather do a 10AM brunch in Sac with cobra heads before the WSCB.

decooney 02-24-2008 09:28 AM

Hey Ron,
I've often thought of setting up a NorCal / BACC breakfast meetup more than a few times, but you are right, they like to meet really early. I did the 5:30a.m. thing once into Dublin. It was scary because you couldn't tell what the weather was going to be like yet until the Sun came up 1/2 way down there. As we were going through the Altamont Pass, Dark Heavy Clouds were above. Won't ever do that again that early...

I'll mention it to a few buddies down there in BACC, and see if we can put something together before the Bash. It would be nice to

jmarsey 02-24-2008 10:44 AM

Yeah, say somewhere half way like Napa or Sonoma. Brunch in Yountville or Sonoma Square. Rod Shop visit may be a possibility with enough notice. ;)

thudmaster 02-24-2008 11:26 AM

spunds like an excellant plan...make it happen...........

jmarsey 02-24-2008 01:29 PM

I would be happy to consider organizing the April 19th as a possible joint meet before the Bash. If you NorCal & BACC folks are up for brunch here in the wino country, I can look into making some arrangements. Tag, you’re it!

Terrific idea John. I, for one, would love to take part in such a meet. Count me in for sure.

Any excuse to get me driving in cooler and more dense air closer to sea level John, you know I'm in. Thanks for volunteering. Hahahaha  I hope to have a prototype sample of the 3rd revision to the 2008 Western States Cobra Bash T-shirts by then to get some feedback on it.

jdog 02-25-2008 07:23 PM

Second that!

I'll second that! Sounds like a fun meet!

jdog

thudmaster 02-25-2008 08:01 PM

Im in.........:)

jmarsey 02-25-2008 08:50 PM

Well Ok then, let's ramp it up!

Duane,
I would like (1) prototype 2x in black please, and pass the maple syrup. Yes, I like to refer to the air density here as "blow the tires off at the top of 3rd gear air.”

Ron,
You’re the BACC SFsnake guy. Get the word out to your boys down there so they know what’s happening. I definitely think a NorCal / BACC gathering in Sonoma Square will cause a scene. Perfect! Will talk with the city and see what’s up.

Let me think about this and see what I can come up with here.

Ed, jdog, Jim... Right on! .. and make sure to give Duane your shirt size! ;)

John
