Thumbs up Sacramento Caravan to Sonoma Apr. 19

For those looking to caravan to the 'Wine Country Cobra Classic' in Sonoma I propose meeting at the Starbucks/Pavillions on Fair Oaks Blvd at 8am. We can leave at 9am to arrive at about 10am at the start of the festivities.

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines.

Maybe we can meet somewhere more central in order to catch people who live on the 80 side. Maybe somewhere in West Sac like near Ikea. Just a thought.

Just a friendly FYI,

This is the NorCal-BACC "Wine Country Cobra Classic" held 4/19
http://clubcobra.com/forums/showthre...threadid=86263

Not to be confused with the "Wine Country Classic" which is held at Infinion Raceway (Sears Point) on 5/31 - 6/1
http://www.infineonraceway.com/sched...or_events/wcc/

You would be surprised at what lengths some people confuse confusion.

I'm looking for the route that has the least amount of freeway involved. I haven't looked at a map yet, but there has to be a way to avoid that pot hole/bombed landscape of I-80

There are a few routes available to Sonoma; from Sac: Hwy 128 near Davis to Winters thru Lake Berryessa to Hwy 121 to Napa to Hwy 12 to Sonoma is one route. Mostly smooth country roads and nice scenerey. We do have a few weeks to discuss the route and figure out a mutually convenient meeting place(s). Lets continue the discussions.

Phil, I am meeting up with Terry and Lisa Brown in Yuba City. We will take route 113 then to Zamora. Into the outskirts of Davis then down the freeway to Sonora. It is not that bad that way. You can meet us in Yuba City if you like...............

Recommendation: Drink Coffee AFTER you reach the destination.

Now that sounds like a plan! What time are you heading out? Maybe we can meet up with Ed (thudmaster) & Company along the way.

I can put together a schedule. If festivities start at 10:00 we need to leave roseville around 7:45. From what I can tell on google maps it is 97 miles and will take around 2:15 to get there this route. Ed how long from your local to Sac airport? we can meet there on the on ramp. It takes about 25 minutes from West Roseville to get to the airport.

Guys, Guys..... I was thinking of getting on the road around 9 AM. I would rather be fashionably late, than ridiculous early. Just my thoughts........
