Smile Carmel Concours on the Avenue is Accpting Replica Cobra's for the First Time

I just got an e-mail from the people running the Carmel Concours which happens during car week on the Monterey Peninsula. This is when the Monterey Historic Races and the Pebble Beach Concours all happen. This is the first time the Carmel Concours is allowing replica Cobras and GT-40's to be part of the show. It is held during the early part of car week and they close off Ocean Ave. in downtown Carmel just for the cars. Check out their web Site at carmelconcours.com Even though the deadline was in May, they are still taking Applications for Heritage and Dream cars. That us! The entry fee is a tax deductable donation to the Carmel Foundation. They can take 18 cars, so get your entry in early if you want to participate in this world calss event. It is during the week, so working folks need to take the day off. Please e-mail me if interested. I need to let the organizer know if we can get together 18 cars. mikeykap@comcast.net

What an incredible week of classic car events! I will arrive in Pacific Grove on Wed. Aug. 13 - Aug. 17, to take in the festivities but will miss the Carmel Concours... maybe next year.

Mike,

Just for the sake of clarity, replicas and non-period vehicles of any type are not being added to the 14 blocks of Concours judged vehicles.
This year they have added two blocks of 'display only vehicles'. These two blocks will be where replicas, etc will be parked.
