Default NorCal Cobras July Breakfast / 3rd Saturday

Today at EuroSunday a few folks asked why there was no post about our regular monthly 3rd Saturday breakfast meet and possible drive. Not sure, I'll give it a shot. Here goes, and a new idea to try something a bit different and we'll see how it works. There is dine-in or carry out patio food if you want to be out near the cars, and the coffe is decent. NOTE: If you order and eat first thing when you get there, maybe we can do our basic drive loop leaving on time, with a steady pace to get back a tad earlier and to beat the heat. Reply here if interested. See you there. DC

Location:
Coffee Republic in Folsom.
Is on Folsom Auburn Road, near interesection of Greenback/Folsom Blvd. Decent size lot, and we can eat outside on the patio or hang out in the lot with takeout.

Address: 6610 Folsom Auburn Rd, Folsom, CA 95630 Link: Google MAP to Coffee Republic

Date/Time:
Saturday July 19th, 08:00 a.m -10:00a.m.

Food:
Walk inside and immediately order your coffee and food for takeout as soon as you get there, and head back out to the patio or parking lot since it takes a while to get your food. Their #1 Egg BLT sandwich is killer!

Drive:
Depart at 10:00 a.m. up Old Auburn Folsom Rd, East on 80, through Auburn Ravine, straight on 49 through to Placerville to Hwy 50, and back down to Folsom and split up from there at Folsom Exit. Simple loop, decent pace. For those who've done this drive with us before, it goes pretty quick and if we leave at 10a.m sharp on this route, you can be be back home to finish out the Honey-DOs if you have any.

Any takers, if so reply here?

I'm out. I've been down hard since the 4th when I broke my right clavicle and jaw getting thrown of my horse. I can't shift the car with my bum wing.
Have a great drive!

Becca and I should be back from Pismo and ready to drive the cobra...see ya on Saturday.

Rodney, hope you get well quickly. You are probably used to more horsepower driving the cobra. Ya gotta watch out for those low horsepower vehicles.

Anybody else going?

Might be helpful to know in case we reserve a special table on the outdoor patio or just take over the whole patio seating area.

Default Wow.

Hey Hey Hey, that was a GREAT turnout for such short notice. Thanks to all of you who showed up even for an hour, it's always great to touch base.

I don't know what you all think but the facility seemed to work out pretty good for those who wanted to sit on the patio and for others who just hung out in the lot with the cars.

YOU GUYS MISSED A GREAT DRIVE. After everyone departed, it was just Maurice, Andre', and I headed up the hill. We took Folsom into Auburn, through the Auburn Ravine, through the twisties, and 49 again straight through more twisties into Placerville, with a stop in Placerville at the Fosters Freeze for an ice cream cone. I wished I had the camera with me. The Cobras were quite a sturrrr in front of the ice cream parlour lined up 1-2-3. Would have been a nice pic, with people stopping and pulling over to check out the cars, with lots of questions.

We'll see you next time. Have a great summer
