Default EVENT: Cobra Tribute Zin Wine Release Saturday 9/27/08

Being a Bay Area Cobra Club (BACC) guy I don't often read NorCal's stuff but was surprised there was no post for the CobraZin wine release at Perry Creek Winery in the Sierra foothils. The following is excerpted from one of the BAAC threads:

September 27th 3:00p.m.-8:00p.m.
You are cordially invited to help us celebrate two things that we hold dear to our hearts: fast cars and bold wine. Join us as we uncork the first bottles of our exclusive, limited-edition 2006 CobraZin and CobraSyrah. And of course drink a toast to the most pure muscle car ever built! We invite our guest to bring out their classic cars. R.S.V.P. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day of, club members are $10. (The admission fee is waived for Cobra drivers)

Perry Creek Winery ~
Our Vineyard
The winery's 40 acres of premium vineyards are located in Fair Play near Plymouth. Decomposed granite soils and a balanced microclimate at a 2,500 foot average elevation allow us to produce premium grapes with the distinct flavor of the foothills.

The grape growing sites in the vineyards were chosen to bring out the best quality in each varietal and all of the vines are pruned by hand. The first crops were dropped to increase vigor in the plant and to promote better fruit. Better fruit will make a luscious wine, as you can already taste from the barrels (designated First Crush) in the tasting room
