Jim,
As it now stands, my wife and I plan on coming,

The ride to Aptos the next week was deemed too
long for her, so I will bring my son on that ride
Maurice

PS,

Ed, I will miss you on this one, (you have a pretty good head on your shoulders)

It looks like about 10 people for dinner so far. I'll call and reserve us a table for 10 unless a few more chime in real soon!

Sorry, but it looks like I may not be able to make it after all. Could be a last minute decision.

Maurice,

if your wife still wants to come to CH1, let me know. If it's the ride, she can ride down with us in the Tahoe leaving early Thursday morning. I'm trailering down, dropping of the trailer, wife is taking the Tahoe to her parents to visit them in Carmel too... etc. Let me know if we can help. Your wife will be missing out on a fabulous resort/vacation spot - this is the ONLY reason my wife is going. Duane

Thanks a million for the offer, Duane, but it will work out for the better this way.

What a friend

Guys and Gals,

Wish I could make it, but I already am juggling 3 different commitments for that evening.

BTW, Maurice, I've done it...I've violated my Kirkham. Spent several hours last night drilling holes in my hood. I'm not done with the rivits, but will post pictures when I'm finished. I think I like it, very "racey."

Sounds cool Racer Ron, I only hope that you used the proper number and spacing for the rivets

Default Google maps no good for this one

Eventhough the address for Wendell's is:

9036 Center Street
Mokelumne Hill, California 95245
County: Calaveras

Travelling southeast, you can SEE the restaurant from Hwy. 49 on the north side (your left). Center Street is directly adjacent to Hwy. 49. Just look for the restaurant with the helicopter mounted on the roof! Google maps gives a bogus location on Center Street for this place. I made a nice map for all of you, but this site won't upload it - it's too large of a .bmp file.

Steve and I are thinking about meeting somewhere in central Sac. so we could get several of us together for the drive. Possibly a coffee shop.

We have our reservation set for 12 at this time.

Jim

Ha, Maurice,

I've come to one conclusion...there is no one correct spacing of hood rivits. I've studied numous original cars and supposedly correct diagrams, and have come to the conclusion that you really have to just pick a particular original car, and go with that. I pretty much copied the "10 down the sides, 11 across the front pattern" that I've documented on several original cars. I don't recall the spacing, but I have it written down at home. It didn't match any of the supposedly correct diagrams that I looked at (at least the 3 that are widely available).

Have fun on the drive, wish I could be there.

Hey Guys,

Steve and I will meet up with who ever wants to drive together at Starbucks at 4pm - The Starbucks we've met at before... It's on Fair Oaks near Howe Ave. Let's meet there at 4pm, and then head over to Jackson Hwy. from there.

See you all tomorrow night!

Jim

Hey Maurice,

I'm with you my friend. I'll be at Duane's tomorrow so where ever you guys decide to meet, I'm there. Now let's make some noise.
