Thumbs up Rocklin Car Show this Saturday

As if you didn't have enough to do, there is a car show this Saturday in old-town Rocklin...on Pacific / Taylor. I think it's called Hot Chilli and Cool cars (?). They close down the street, invite vendors and bands, and have the car show right there. Usually a pretty good turnout. 10am to 4pm. Anyone already planning on being there?

I've decided to enter my Kirkham, just for fun. Not sure if I'll wash it, but I definitely will have the hood rivits in place.

Have fun at breakfast!

Ok Ron, I'll let all this hood rivet, car show stuff slide this time... But, you really do need to be working on that Porsche!

Might stop by to say hi on Saturday.

John,

You're right. I'll get right one it. . Actually, I spent last night pulling out a dent on the hood. Won't make it more road-worthy, but at least it'll look it.

BTW, did you get those pics from Infineon? Sorry that I lost the good ones when my computer crashed.

Default Dinner Drive / Saturday evening?

Ron,
there are a few Cobra guys at that show each year in Rocklin who are out of the online loop but usually interested in happenings going on. Maybe you can let them know about the dinner-drive on Saturday night...

Need a head count! Dinner drive!

I won't be able to make the Rocklin show, working with a crew on sheetrocking the new Cobra garage, and taking a break for the dinner drive.

Are you going to the dinner drive?

I believe I have a tote/tool bag that belongs to you. I was going through stuff as I cleared out the garage to do sheetrocking and among the WSCB and items on the tables at closing was this bag. Upon further inspection, inside was some papers with your name on it. Fix-A-Flat and belts included.

Sound familiar? Need to get this to you... maybe the Saturday Dinner drive. Let me know. DC

Duane,

I'll let anyone with a cobra etc know about the Dinner-Drive, but I can't make it myself. My wife and I have been invited to two parties and have guests over for dinner that night. Still trying to figure out how to get rid of the dinner guests early (my wife's invite), so I can go to the parties .

I suppose the bag could be mine...hadn't thought about it. I used to carry a tote bag in the trunk (darkly colored, black or dark blue, handles and a shoulder strap). I think it has a logo from some computer-related company my step-father worked for years ago. If that sounds like the one you have, PM me with your contact info, and I'll come by and pick it up. Thanks for hanging on to it, not sure where I would have left it.

Hey Ron,

Yes, I got your pics and thank you. I've replied to your emails several times but don't know if they are getting through. Anyhow, hope to stop by Saturday at the car show and say hi.

Glad to hear you're making progress on the 912. If you can't make Thill, hope you make Infineon.

See you soon, John :>

John,

Sorry, but I haven't received any emails since I sent you the pictures. Not sure what the problem might be, the spammers sure seem to get through. Got your new motor tuned up?

Hey Ron,

I had a feeling that was happening. Apparently you never received all my reports on the spec, new motor, etc. I must be going into your spam. I had some strange computer issues but now all’s well with car and new motor. My plan is to run TTS and car should be pretty competitive in that class.

Hope to see you on Saturday.

John :>

John,

I'm sorry I missed them. After I emailed the pics, I expected to hear something back. Never did, so I figured that either my email didn't make it, or you were busy. Sorry, I wouldn't knowingly have ignored the emails.

Till Saturday, if you make it.

No worries Ron. We'll get the email thing fixed.

I’m headed to Duane’s Saturday morning and hope to see you early pm. You should hear us leaving Folsom after lunch, lol.

Talk soon, John
