Default Leg Room

It is true that many makes can be modified to have more room. Even though the Lone Star cockpit is one of the roomiest it too can even be modified for additional room. The LS427 body must be made to accommodate the biggest big blocks and bell housings so...... if you install a small block then by all means utilize the dead space. Instructions of how to do so can be provided. It is actually quite simple and ends up placing the gas pedal in the same location as any mass produced car.

I can't express enough how important it is to sit in the different car manufacturers which you are considering. If you’re anything like me you wouldn't even buy a pair of shoes with out at least trying them on first. Shoot me an email with your address & I will try and find a close customer who might make this possible for you and save you a trip to Texas.

In an old advertisement LSC ran in Kit Car Magazine in 1999 & 2000, LSC bragged about the size of its cockpit. I thought everyone would get a kick out of reading it.
"Only those without an extra 4" say they don't matter....
Try Lone Star Classics & feel the difference!"

Guys,

Thanks so much for all of the advice. Please keep it coming as all of it is useful and helps.

It seems like I have a lot of work to do before I join the ranks of the proud cobra owners. I definately need to get out there and sit in and drive these different models. LSC, I live in Gold River, Ca (95670) and would love the opportunity to sit in and drive some cars in the area. Also is there a meeting or a show in the next month or so in the Sacramento area?

Thanks again guys. I really appreciate it.

Chris

Just come to one of the Norcal Breakfasts. They have one the third Saturday of each month, although the winter weather can reduce the number of cobras that show up. You can search and see what has happened in the past. They had one yesterday that was in Ione but they have several in and around Sacramento. You can also find a number of other events that show up on this website in your area.

I've got a Backdraft you might be interested in. It fits the taller types. It is for sale at a reasonable price and already has a SB100 registraton. PM me if interested. In the Auburn/Grass Valley area.

I have a Lonestar and am 6'4". The passenger can almost lay down and take a nap.

Depending on where you put your pedals, you should not have too many problems.
