Default Need an appraisal in Sacramento area (El Dorado Hills)

I need an appraisal of my 2002 Unique Cobra 427, for insurance purposes.

I'm in the Sacramento area - El Dorado Hills.

Any recommendations as to where I can get an appraisal done?

Thanks!
Jim M

Default Fyi.

Jim,
A few thoughts.

I would recommend getting some turnkey pricing from Alan at Unique, and adding all of your speciality items above and beyond stock. Unique built that car inhouse for DYI network, as you know. This is a start as a first point of reference.

Then, you can use some of the SOLD historical data on Cobracountry.com as another reference. You may have to contact them for older data beyond the last 3-6 months; which would be in your favor considering the current economy and the fact that some folks are having to take less to sell the cars during this time.

Typically, I look at "replacement value" as a baseline to start from and the fact there is a lot of additional labor costs added for all those special little custom changes. I can chat more with you on it Saturday if it helps.

Hey, I can't believe it!.......I've got every episode of that DIY NETWORK segment on video and it was the point at which I seriously started my search for the car of my dreams. I had wanted a Cobra since the 70's but that show pushed me over the edge. The VHS tape is all but worn out!!! What a small world! tom

Tom,
The Holy Grail! I've been trying to get a copy of the DIY episodes!
Can I borrow your VHS tape(s) and make a copy?
I'll transfer it to DVD and you can have a DVD copy that won't (theoreticall for 30 years or so) wear out!

Are you going to the Santa Run this Saturday?

And thanks for the input Duane.

Thanks!
Jim M
