Default April 25th NorCal BBQ @ Dynamic R/C

Hi group,

This is an invite for all that had not heard yet, Dynamic Auto West in Redwood City wants to invite NorCal Cobras to an open house and BBQ. There will be plenty of food and plenty of cars. More details will follow as we nail down the specifics. Please respond to the most if you think you can make it so we can start to get a head count. Thanks and we hope to see you there!

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Dynamic so I am not sure what the occasion really involves but I assume they are a Cobra or SPF dealer or ?
I would sure be interested in coming if I can get more information/detail and a map etc.
Can you give me a link or website or ? to get the details on how to join the event?
Don

Andrei,
I think the regular monthly NorCal group is doing a Delta Drive run this next weekend so some may not be able to do the BBQ, and thought someone should let you guys know.

On a related Invitation note:
I owe folks at Dynamic and others down in the Bay Area Club an apology about lack of response and availability by the NorCal Cobras group, and me in particular. We have no president, but I try to respond for the group sometimes since so many came to the Cobra Bash over the years, and now CH1. I had a few intrusive hip replacement surgeries back in late November and just started driving my Cobra again this past few weeks. Also just wrapped up a two year intense project at work so I'm getting "back into the loop" so to speak. We hope to start being more responsive and social again (if it helps to know) and I'll do my best to help with that. Please share this with Barry, Lance, Bill D. and others in the western regional Superformance/Shelby sales crews too, if you could. Also, maybe we'll see a few of you at Cobra Roundup too if folks from the BACC are going - and I think a few are. Please pass that along, I would appreciate it. Thanks. DC

Duane,

No problem at all. We all have a passion and want to share as many gatherings as possible. I can't even begin to tell you how many double and triple car club bookings I have to choose from. We don't have a president either, as "we all are president." That being said, I am working with Dynamic AW closly now and if NorCal was interested we could try and arrange something at the dealer. The April event will happen and looks like it will be a great event from the local response so far from BACC and NorCal SAAC. Look forward to talking with you soon about future events. Stanford Concours should be a great event this year, as is the show at DeAnza College.

Stanford is a fantastic event, but best to take your daily driver.

Duane - Maybe we should try to plan a BACC/NorCal meet-up that's somewhere between the Bay Area and Sacramento.

Andrei, Doug:

Many of our cars have chips from driving, so most of them would end up in the parking lot before the concours would probably allow us in. Sounds like fun but it would be good to plan something we could all drive to and meet up at. Going towards the bay, I suspect anywhere we'd want to go the BACC folks have been there alot already. Any time BACC comes to Tahoe, its the same for us - it's in our back yard.

It would be fun to pick a half-way place somehwere they would enjoy, I agree. If anyone comes up with a good idea, I'm game. In fact, we are looking at doing a river run to Rio Vista this next weekend while the weather is still cool. Something like that might work in the future or Napa or ???? Thanks, we'll have to keep thinking about this til someone pulls a great idea out of the air. Keep digging. Even a cool one-night stayover would be neat too.

Doug,

A group of us ( Randy, Bill M, John, and others) did this show a couple years back. It was perfect since we got to park on the grass. I think it was even cheaper to register the car plus two, then paying the gate fee to get in. If I remember right, we had to submit pictures of our cars and get accepted.

Bumping to the top, but I'm also wondering who's planning to go to the BBQ at Dynamic.

I have a short drive, so I'm kinda thinking about cruising around first, since my car won't have any time to even warm up before I get to BBQ. Are the guys from the South Bay, Peninsula, SF, North Bay or anywhere for that matter meeting anywhere first? Coffee?

I might be a bit late now. My daughter has a 10:15 game that morning. I believe they are also calling for rain!

I've got a 9:00 AM game, but it should be over with plenty of time to spare.

I'm going to pass this time. Dennis put on great get together and lunch earlier in the year. The cars attracted a lot of attention from people who were eating at Harry's and passing by, which was fun.

Anyone out there? It's awfully quiet. Will anyone be attending tomorrow?

Lunch is FREE!

Rodney,

Still up in the air. My daughters game is at 10:15, which means I wouldn't be out of their till around 12. The game is at Evergreen Valley College in the south bay.

While your there, you may want to have the BAR refs take another look at your car.

Oh that's right, they don't work Saturdays.

Hi Rich, Tim and All,

It looks like Mother Nature will be giving us a break and that's a good thing as it looks like it will be a great turn out. Between NorCal SAAC, BACC and other select invites, Dennis & I are coming up with at least 50 confirmed guests. It is starting to look like much more all of a sudden! I hope we have enough food! Look forward to seeing all that plan on making it there, and for those who can't we will figure out something in the future.

Andrei
