Default NorCal Monthly Get Together 3/21

Hey everyone,

Talking to a few of the gang, we thought instead of meeting for breakfast, we would take a drive up to Coloma, with everyone bringing their own picnic lunch. We'll stop at the picnic area there. There's plenty of tables and parking. Susan Enstrom volunteered to go there maybe a 1/2 hour early to save an area just in case.

Maybe get up there sometime around 11:00 to 11:30. We can talk about where everyone wants to meet for the ride up during the week, and also where to drive after lunch. Lots of beautiful roads up that way.

Weather looks to be in the 70's so far. Perfect Cobra weather, so let's get'em all out there.

Danny

Default thanks.

Hi Danny/Tracy,
Just got back into town very early this morning. We missed your shindig yesterday evening but hope to be at this one next weekend, pending any last minute on-call stuff on my end. Dan mentioned it to me this morning, and what a great idea.

Also, at some point during the picnic we need to chat with everyone about CH1 too, as we need to get some feedback. Note: was down there visiting this past few days and had a chance to do some scoping around a bit to see if we can find some new stopovers and a dinner place for Friday night, etc. thx. DC

Picnic sounds fun - meeting at Starbucks at Town Center in El Dorado Hills sounds great. I think there is a Togo's sandwich shop right next to Starbucks in Towncenter which will work out perfect for anyone wanting to grab a sandwich to take on the picnic up to Coloma. Pretty sure there is a Quizno's also over behind Holliywood video in Town center. Lets hope for good weather see everyone Saturday morning.

Becca and I are in. I'm not sure if we'll meet you at Starbucks or just take Hwy.49 up from Plymouth. Latrobe Road is a PITA in the cobra. We'll let you know before the week is up.

Hey all!
I will scope out the area this week some time after I drop the kids off at school. Just an FYI-there is a park fee and will find out what that is per car or see if we can get a group rate. I'll also see if they will reserve parking spots for us. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Default Caravan to Coloma

Looks like a great drive. Save a seat for me.

I can meet at the usual Starbucks on Fair Oaks Blvd. in Sacramento for a caravan ride to Coloma. I can be there at 9:30am so. Any interest in coffee and a caravan ride?

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate this Saturday. No rain until Saturday night. Hope to see everyone there.

Yes, the Starbucks we are meeting at is on Latrobe Rd, right off the freeway. If anyone else would like to join the caravan, we'll be there around 10:00.

I went to Coloma today and checked it all out. Sorry, but couldn't get a break on parking. It is $5.00 per car and there is no parking on the street. There are self pay envelopes in every lot. If you are coming up Salmon Falls to 49, park in the second lot on the left and we'll be directly across the street. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Kind of conflicting reports, so far for Saturday

Yahoo weather says:
Saturday: Sunshine. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 40s.

Other sites show rain drops ?????

I think Tom is right we might want a backup plan.

Hoping for a clear Saturday morning and a great picnic with everyone.

Dan

Hey Guys,
Can't make Saturday. It's opening day for baseball and our son is pitching. April's 3rd Saturday we have a late game, so hope to make that one.

Missed ya'll at Danny/Tracy's soiree. We've been crazy (like a fox) busy and gotta strike while the iron's hot.

Here's to dry skies on Saturday!
