To: NorCal crew,

This is the same thing we did last year down in Sonoma Square. As you may recall, we did this one month before CH1, and it was quite a turnout. The NorthBay Cobras group is hosting it this time.

If any of you want to head down for a day trip to Sonoma and back, reply here that you are going (so we know who is going from our area) from NorCal and over on the link-thread Bob.

I will update this thread later with some other details on departing from Brookfields in Rancho Cordova, etc. Maybe we can meet there for early breakfast and depart, etc.

Meeting Place: Brookfields
Departure Time: TBD (check back later)
List of Names: TBD (will insert later)

REPLY HERE with YES and over on the NorthBay thread to RSVP if interested.

Default Time/Schedule?

Phil,
..trying to decide who all is going to caravan down there and how early folks will leave to avoid the heat; we are talking August 2nd heat vs. leaving early situation.

Bob or John,

Is this going to be a lunch-afternoon kinda thing or earlier breakfast deal? If its for a lunch meetup, it might give out-of-towner folks a bit of a chance to eat breakfast together, meetup, and then depart down to Sonoma without having to leave super early from Sac. Let us know what schedule you guys are thinking for folks to arrive in the Square.

Duane,
I know...... August It was nice in the spring last year. I plan on taking the same route as last time - Lake Berryessa (Covell Road/Highway 128). The I-80 route is quicker, but there aren't any trees.

Hey Duane,

Don't worry, if you want to come early just let me know in advance and how many cars. We'll meet before the meet. I understand the heat factor. I'm sure we can make a good plan here. Either way, you guys do breakfast there or here, will work. I'm game for anything fun.

There's no set plan as to where or when to eat. I would imagine folks will group up on their own and do their thing. Maybe we'll set a time for a group gathering or something, just need to see how it comes together as we get closer and after the Roundup.

Hi Phil,

I'm glad we're doing this again too and with more notice. Should be great weather and a nice way to get everyone together again. Looking forward to seeing you there.

John

We had a good time last year. I'm in, suspect Murray and ZL-1 will be there, too. It was a nice drive by the lake, fun times!
