Default Best insurance provider for CA?

I've got quotes from all the usual suspects - Hagerty, Classic, Grundy. Since they don't offer much in the way of options other than levels of coverage, who's the best? Are any of the hobby-vehicle insurers ones to steer clear of? I'm looking for good service, no BS or fine-printsmanship and reliability more than bottom line cost.

What do youse guys have?

Gunner,
I use State Farm for all of my insurance. The had no issue at all with insurancing the Cobra. Less than $400 per year with 40K agreed value. Limited milage (5K per year).
$ depends on your age and driving record of course.

I've been with Northwest Classic Insurance for a couple of years. The policy is through Infinity Insurance. Agreed value and no mileage limit in California. The price is competitive with my Farmers policy.

I also use State Farm. I have insured three cobras with them. Never had any problem in the collection area after an accident. See my gallery. I would have posted it but everyone freaks out.......

The big thing i found out is research the differences between "agreed value" and "stated value." There can be a huge difference. I ended up starting with Farmers and after more research ended up with Hagerty.

Ditto with "got the bug" ...I've been with Tom since I got my car and it's not much more expensive than the wife's Honda.

Tom gave me a good quote. I have about a week here to make a choice; 707 will be on a transporter tomorrow (Friday) and here next Friday-Saturday, at which point the dealer and transport insurance will evaporate. It won't hurt to have mine in place as soon as possible.

Does anyone know of an insurer that covers track use? I thought I had seen someone claim they did - "sanctioned amateur noncompetitive track use" or something like that.

We use Infinity Select Insu. We got the name from John in Reno. He gave us the brokers name when we bought the car from him. We have 80K coverage for $760, but limited to 3500 miles a year.

Now that the car market has tanked were thinking about changing to $60K coverage which will drop it to about $600.

Please keep us advised of a better deal. We have no issue changing insurance company's.

I checked out several of the "speciality" car insurrance companys, found my regular insurance companythe Hartford/AARP was best price for me.
Less than $500.00 per year, agreed value and no mileage requriement or driving restrictions.
Of course I have all my other cars and home through them too.

I ended up with Barlow (broker; Condon & Skelly insurers) because the coverage was equal to or better than average, he was the only one to follow up by sending a complete set of application papers, and the rate was almost absurdly low.

I should note that my regular insurer is AAA, which is not particularly inexpensive (nor particularly expensive), but does not cover specialty cars. I also don't qualify for AARP rates yet. So a number of the options suggested above wouldn't work for me.

If I'm unhappy with Barlow for any reason I'll likely switch to Hagerty. Thanks for all the input.

I've been happy with Midwest Classic. Robbin Terry is an avid car-guy, knows about replicas, very easy to work with, and rates are very fair...

$415 per year, 6,000 miles annually, $43k agreed value.

My rate was almost exactly the same, Slick61. I should add that this is for $60k agreed value and $0 deductible.
