Default Texas invades California

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

September 18th an advance force of seven Cobras will enter Napa Valley followed by a second wave of seven entering through Monterey on the 20th. The entire force of fourteen will then head South down the PCH with stops in San Luis Obispo, Santa Monica and San Diego departing on the 24th and 25th in two waves of reverse order back to the Republic of Texas. We invite our California brethren to break bread with us during the occupation, cruise the PCH and share any special side roads we might not otherwise discover, heck we might even let you lead!

Can you recommend some reliable and available shops along the way that might respond to an "emergency?" Our arsenel includes every manufacturer.

We're looking forward to some California weather and hospitality

Sounds like a great trip. I may try to hook up with you guys. I'm sure other Cobra guys will want to as well.

One recommendation: As you head south down the PCH and pass Big Sur---just as you climb back up the hill toward the coast---take a right at the top of the hill and wander up the drive to the Post Ranch Inn. The restaraunt there is stunning, right on the top of the bluff, with floor to ceiling glass walls and amazing views down the coast. Not cheap, but worth dropping an extra dime for the food and views. Don't miss this one.

Small place, so let them know you are coming.

Further South near Lucia, you'll find the Coast Gallery, a good place to stop for coffee and check out the artsy scene.

Don't miss Julia Pfiefer (spelling?) Falls---picturesque waterfall that drops right down onto an isolated beach. Nice view. Undoubtedly, you've seen a photo of it if you've looked into Big Sur at all...

It sounds like a terrific trip. You will really have a great time on the PCH. Be sure to do 17 mile drive since you will be in the area (Pebble Beach).

I don't have any recommendations for maintenance contacts. There is a Shelby dealer in Windsor (Denbeste).

Give us more details of your agenda and we can give you some tips.

We normally have a brunch on the 1st Sunday of the month, but we may be able to join you in Napa/Sonoma/Marin on your way down to Monterey for breakfast/lunch/dinner or ride with you part of the way.

And remember, please take at least one illegal alien home with you when you leave.

You can drop them off in Arizona on your way home. I hear that State really welcomes them.
