Cobras to the Coast
Just in case you aren't on the BACCEVENTS mailing list (which you should be ) , Here's the notice of a BACCEVENT in you own backyard.
Cobras to the Coast
Sept. 18,19,20, 2010
This is going to be a great Cobra Weekend!
Best of all because it's spread over 3-days you get to pick what fits your schedule.
Yes, that’s right Cobras to the coast will be held over three consecutive days this year. Why? Because this year we will be joining forces with the Texas Cobra Club which will be out west for their own version of Cobras to the Coast. We will be joining their group for one , two or all three days (your option) of their tour in the Northern California region. SEE www.BayAreaCobraClub.com for details on how you can join in on the fun then signup for the days that will work for you. BEST OF ALL THIS IS A FREE EVENT
PLEASE GO TO BAYAREACOBRACLUB.COM AND SIGNUP IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING , THIS WILL HELP US WITH PLANNING FOR EACH DAYS LOGISTICS (PARKING, LETTING RESTAURANTS KNOW HOW MANY FOLKS TO EXPECT ETC.. THANKS

Hiway 1 through Carmel and South from there is absolutely breathtaking. You will love it. Be sure to take in the Motorcycle Museum in Solvang, it's not to be missed. Solvang is right on Hiway 1 too.

Duane,
Come join us and take the opportunity to relax and be an event participant instead of an event organizer for a change.
I hear that participants actually have more time to socialize and enjoy the events

Hi Mike,
Oh man, so true! I'm not sure I'd know how to behave just being able to relax and enjoy the scenery. Just this evening I am trying to figure out how to break away from work and just even get down for another Cobra day to say hello and to meet the TX folks too. I was sitting here tonight drooling over the great photos you guys had of your nice time at STTL this past weekend, and now thinking about just how much fun you guys are all going to have on the coast runs. I'm wrestling with some scheduling conflicts but would love to if I could get a way. Thanks for the note. If I don't see you guys, have a great time - sounds like its gonna be a blast - sounds awesome! We have our "Uncork the Cobra" event and Cobras gathering at Perry Creek Winery on Saturday the 18th. I was looking at your schedule to see if I could somehow figure out what your plan is on Sunday the 19th.
Please take lots of photos of the Cobras on the coast if you guys can. My very first test drive in a Cobra was on CA-1 in Monterey South through Carmel , in a Butler. Even today, nothing else compares to that very first virgin run. These guys from TX are in for a real treat. Can't wait to see the photos and hear the feedback.

Agreed Duane,
The trip from Monterey to LA is really something special. The Texas Cobra Club has chosen wisely for their adventure. This is a trip they will really enjoy.

Good idea. Solvang is a hoot. I've lived in CA for 30 years and didn't know about this place. Who knew the Danes had their own town in California?

Add the Big Sur Bakery as a place to eat. Amazing everything from coffee and pastries to full meal. We go there regularly and are never disappointed. It is on hwy 1 about 30 miles south of the 1/Rio Rd intersection, next to the Shell station. Have fun.

No offense to the Danes or the fine residents of Solvang, but I went through there for the first time during the summer and my observation is/was: "And...is there something else? Did I miss something?"
It's kinda like Fishermans Wharf. You pay $12 for a cable car pen.
