Default Wine Country Cobra Classic-III

North Bay Cobras - Proudly Presents

"PICNIC WITH THE SNAKES"

Wine Country Cobra Classic-III

May 21, 2011 - 10 AM to 2 PM

Welcoming all Cobras, Daytona Coupes & GT-40s to the Sonoma Square!!

After taking last year off, we are happy to announce our Wine Country Cobra Classic-III at the Historic City Hall Building in the Sonoma Plaza. Once again, this should be a fun get-together with great weather, the best folks and catching up with old friends.
For those interested, this year we are encouraging folks to bring their picnic baskets, blankets and goodies for a group lunch on the grass. Whether you dine out or picnic, it's all good!
Let us know if you want to attend ASAP. We have a feeling this will be a Blowout and we are limiting parking to 100 cars. There will be a $10 donation required to cover the use of the Plaza.

Weather should be perfect and we expect a big public turnout from the locals too! Just show up, park your car and enjoy the day!

Here’s what to do:

1) Please RSVP here on this thread.

2) Show up after 10AM in your Cobra, Daytona Coupe, or GT-40.

3) Have $10 bucks ready when you pull up to the gate.

4) If we get more than 100 cars, we'll figure it out!

5) Bring A Picnic!!

Resources:

Address: No.1 The Plaza, Sonoma, CA 95476
Directions:http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=38....C%20CA%2095476

Other Highlights:

Historic Buildings | Great Restaurants | Wine Tasting | Unique Shops | Beautiful Park Setting | Vintage Hotels | Quaint Pubs....

See you in the Square!!

RSVP - YES!

Awesome! Looks great John, count me in again this year. The "bring your own picnic basket and chairs theme" seems perfect for this venue. It will be nice so folks won't have to scramble about the square and wait to go get lunch if they don't want to scatter; keeping it all in the square. Nice!

This is the same time as our 3rd Saturday NorCal breakfast day, and with this much advance notice I would suspect at least another 30+ Cobras from NorCal will attend again this year too. Looking forward to seeing all the cars and folks from BACC, Bay Area, Central Valley, NorthBay, NorCal all together for this again. Thanks to you and others for setting it up and renting the square again.

Count me in, John - thanks.

For sure I can't get any lawn chairs in my car.....a picnic basket is also iffy.

Default This Should Be Fun !!

John - The picnic theme is a great idea. There is also a gourmet deli on the norh side of the square where people can have sandwiches, "sides" and drinks bagged for picnicing. This will be a great chance to renew old friendships. Count me in for two.

I'm in. This is a nice event. The picnic is a great idea. What's better than some wine, cheese, olives, and rustic bread in the heart of Sonoma wine country.

Sounds like a fun event, but for those of us that aren't in the know, what events are scheduled and what is the agenda? Wineries? Cruise?

The destination is the event. We hang out at the Plaza and enjoy a beautiful day in the sun. As you can see from the picture, the Plaza is closed off for our use. It turns into a bit of a car show for the tourists.

So if your coming in from BACC or Nor Cal Cobras, join one of the groups and cruise in with them. They will be getting groups together to come in. The North Bay Cobras will be coming in individually since we are all scattered across a couple of counties.

Rather than go off and find dining along the plaza, this year, John is recommending we all hang out and have a picnic. I think this is an excellent suggestion.

Please count me in for two. This will be the first event I will make with my Pacific Roadster. I will finish it in March and then drive it and get the bugs out.

Very nice Don. A ride down to Sonoma is sure to work some kinks out.

So laps around the square are out of the question then 'eh? Its a nice little ride for us from the NorCal/Sac area, and we look forward to just parking, hanging out, having some lunch, and seeing everyone with their cars. We like it, its a nice destination and area to meet up.
