Annual Bodega Bay Breakfast & Run, Sunday October 2nd
Note: RSVP, Please, for this event (via PM or post below)
In 2009 and 2010 we staged one of our most popular breakfasts in Bodega Bay. The food has been great, the views magnificent, and the cruises unforgettable. So......let's continue!!!
We have a special breakfast planned for Sunday, October 2nd. We will meet at the Duck Club Restaurant in Bodega Bay at 10:00 am for some fabulous food. They have plenty of parking for us. The Duck Club Restaurant is part of the Bodega Bay Lodge and Spa. After the meal we will take a drive up the coast.
DIRECTIONS: The easiest way (but possibly not the most direct for our southern folk) is to take Hwy 101 to Santa Rosa and then take Hwy 12 west into Sebastopol. Hwy 12 becomes Bodega Hwy in Sebastopol. Just keep going west (don't take either of the Hwy 116 cutoffs). Continue west on Bodega Hwy until it joins up with Hwy 1. Turn right and its about 5 miles into Bodega Bay. Don't miss the left turn at the Bodega Bay Lodge and Spa. For those of you with GPS or who want to "Mapquest" the restaurant, the Duck Club is at 103 Coast Highway One, Bodega Bay. Their phone number is 707 875-3525.
CARAVAN: For those who are traveling via Hwy 12 thru Sebastopol, lets meet again at the circular drive of the Parkside Elementary school on Bodega Ave between Dutton and Washington. This school sits on a hill to the right (north) in the middle of Sebastopol. We will leave from there around 9:30 am.
We need to have an idea of the numbers to expect so please RSVP - either by PM or post below. The Duck Club wants me to give them an accurate head count. Thanks.

I'll be there Bob.
This is getting to be a nice tradition for us. I like the Duck Club. It's perfect for a fall event.

Head Count
We only have 10 people and 7 cars signed up, and (so far) no one from NorCal or BACC. There's still time left. This will be a great breakfast and cruise.

For anyone passing through Petaluma, I will be leaving the park-n-ride at 101 and Lakeville promptly at 9:00am. The park-n-ride is located on the north side of Lakeville and the west side of 101. If you are coming from the south, take the Lakeville exit, head west under the 101, and just beyond it on the right is the park-n-ride.

Bob says we have 23 people coming to this breakfast. Don't be shy. If you have been thinking of joining us for one of our breakfasts, this is a good one. Nice location, good food, and cruise.
Many bring their spouses or a friend.

Hello Paul F and Bob, Is this for Cobra's only? Will you guys let a 65 Weber'd GT350 in? I can understand if you don't. Thanks, Earl J

Earl,
While it is a Cobra club, we have had the odd car drop in for these events. We had a Corvette drop by one of our most popular events and it got the most attention!
Sure, join us. I'm sure everyone would like to meet you and see your GT.

Hello Paul F, I'll be at the park-n-ride in Petaluma by 8:40-45ish (my target time) Sunday morning. I asked my wife if she wanted to attend, she has previous spa plans with one of her gal-pals, so I'm flying solo. I'll introduce myself there.
Bob, I hope this counts as an RSVP. Count me in! If the Duck Club Sunday Brunch in Bodega is anything like Lafayette's Duck Club, I'm always up for good food! My car should run fine on a cool overcast morning. C-ya there.
Cheers,
Earl J

Cruise Info
Clive and Linda Egerton will be leading the cruise after our breakfast at the Duck Club. He had two routes planned, depending on the weather. I think the preferred route will be north along the coast to the Gurneville turnoff, then east, then south through wine country and back country, ending up in Sebastopol again. Our cruises are generally an hour long or less. Andreas - hope this answers your question.

Hey Paul,
I'll try to be at the park-n-ride before 9am.
See you soon,
