Breakfast and Cobra Museum Sunday May 3rd
Well all you Cobra lovers. We have a special event for you. On Sunday, May 3rd we have scheduled a nice breakfast at the “Behind the Plate Clubhouse Grill” in Martinez and then a tour of the nearby “Cobra Experience” a non-profit museum honoring Cobras and the Shelby legacy. NorCal and BACC friends may tag along but only if you RSVP. You can take a look at the museum by clicking this link: www.cobraexperience.org
I think this will be a real treat. David and Yvonne have been there several times – They say we will love it. The “experience” includes a surround sound theater that shows a movie covering Cobra, Ford and Shelby history. They have a 25000 square foot museum with many Cobras and racing memorabilia.
Small problem: Since this is a non-profit museum, they need to have 15 people minimum to open the museum on an “off day”. (They are normally open the third Sunday from 11 am til 4 pm) Also, they charge $15 per person to tour the museum. If we do not get 15 people to commit to this trip we will need to call it off, so please RSVP to me via a PM.
Details – We will caravan from North Bay in time to arrive at the restaurant at 10 am. (Caravan details posted later, looking for suggestions – probably starting from somewhere near 101 and Hwy 37??)
They will open the museum just for us from 12 noon until 2 pm. Again, please RSVP. Weather should be great !!
