Default SB100 - 39 are left

Whew hew! After reading here that there are numbers left, I went to get one today.

Looking forward to not having to smog the car like I have for the last 13 years. They didn't have SB100 back then.

Maybe I will stroke the 351 like Don did.

Wow...June and they still have slots? I remember when mere HOURS was all you had to get a sequence number. Quite a sign of the times (i.e. bad economy).

Amazing! I bet you they put an extra 40 aside to cover all of the paperwork snafus that they've had in the past. I'm also 99% certain that if you walk into a DMV office and talk to one of the reps, they'll tell you that there are no SB100 sequence numbers available.

If you were waiting for 2010, go get em' while they're hot!!

BTW - CONGRATS Paul and Andrei!!

Paul, has your number been deducted from that 39 remaining number or is it 38 now?

Paul - Congrats !!

What sequence number did they assign? Just curious.

See you at the Sonoma brunch this Sunday, 10 am, Murphy's Irish Pub, "on the square".

Congrats Paul!!

I heard rumors as well both that there were numbers and not, so I decided to just try. The worked were told to send people away until about 2 weeks ago when Sacramento sent out a memo stating that @50 were left. I am really glad that I have a real possiblity on having real plates on the car during this summer and not having to wait until 2010!

Thanks guys. I received #461 today. They had to look information up in the book as they said 'we normally only do this one day a year'. We shared a laugh about that. The good thing about it was that it took no time at all once they did a bit of reading. No backup of callers to Sacramento. No worries about being one of the 500. Thanks to you guys for keeping us informed about numbers being available.

Indeed, they did mis-inform us earlier in the year. I went to the same office in February. They called Sacramento and Sacramento told them there were no numbers left.
