Default June 7th Brunch and Tour

Well we had a great and very well attended June brunch today at Murphy's Irish Pub on the Sonoma square. It was really nice to see so many happy Cobra folks all having a terrific time. We had at least 35 or more in attendance (did not get a perfect actual head count as people were moving about a lot) and there were at least 20 cars. Several of our East and South Bay brethren were on hand to enjoy the day with the NBC bunch and that's always nice to see!
We had a nice driving tour after the eats which took over a variety of road types from the corkscrew twisties of Trinity Road to the long sweepers and scenic vistas of Silverado Trail.
We ended up by "taking over" a nice Pizza place in Calistoga where we had much deserved/needed refreshments a bite or two and eventually said our goodbyes before taking various routes back to our various "home ports".
The weather was PERFECT and I think/hope that everyone had as good a time as Jacquie and I did. It was really fun, and good to see everyone.
Thanks to all who came out to play, and to those who missed it, we'll see you next time I hope. This was definitely a good one!

Default June 7th Breakfast Comments

The parking and traffic congestion was very unfortunate but a good time was had anyway. The manager of Murphys called me around 8:30 Sunday morning advising me of the problem and he was scurrying around trying to find alternate parking.

I was able to do a head count - With the late arrival of Dave and Jo Ann, we had a total of 37 Cobra folks plus three members of the public who stumbled in off the street, sat down, and had breafast, thinking that Murphys was open.

I apologize for leaving the cruise while on Trinity Road. I happen to glance at my gas gauge and determined I would not make it across the grade. So much for advance planning! Gisela and I will not be able to make the July breakfast but will be there in August.
